About the author:
Matjaz Virjent (1971) presented his writing to the general public for the first time in 2020, when he entered among the finalists of the contemporary magazine competition with the short story The Life of a Slovenian Bolshevik in four paintings. He repeated his success in 2023, when he entered the finalists of the same competition with the story Leto at the Black Wolves. The novel scavengers also write beautiful poems is his debut novel.

Matjaž Virjent (1975) se je s svojim pisateljevanjem širši javnosti prvič predstavil leta 2020, ko se je s kratko zgodbo Življenje slovenskega boljševika v štirih slikah uvrstil med finaliste natečaja revije Sodobnost. Uspeh je ponovil leta 2023, ko se je med finaliste istega natečaja uvrstil z zgodbo Leto pri črnih volkovih. Roman Tudi smetarji pišejo lepe pesmi je njegov prvenec.
Knjigarna je odprta vsak festivalski dan od 17.00 do 21.00, ob sobotah tudi od 10.00 do 13.00. Najdete jo na Šutni 26 .
Ponovni poizkus vzpostavitve neodvisne sodobne mestne knjigarne, tokrat sredi Šutne. V knjigarni bo naprodaj sodobnejša literarna produkcija, tako za odrasle kot za otroke, veliko bo tudi kamniških avtorjev. Mestna knjigarna Kamnik deluje v sodelovanju s knjigarno Pri kamniti mizi , ki deluje v Vodnikovi domačiji v Ljubljani. Vsak dan se bodo v knjigarni dogajale različne aktivnosti, seveda povezane s knjigami in literarnim ustvarjanjem.
