Exhibition JULKA: what's in the name? it follows from the central themes of the animated film Julka Valerie Cozzarini and the stripes butterfly on Boris Pahor's hanger , according to which the film was created, and develops them in a wider context. He puts the mother tongue, violence against minorities and the history of fascism on its eastern border at the forefront. Through a series of contrapuntally designed interviews with historian Marta Verginella , philosopher and sociologist Mirto Komel , writer Marco Balzan and writer, journalist and co-author of Pahor's biography Cristina Battocletti opens the space for different interpretations and reflections that extend beyond the concrete story and touch on current social issues.
