Our librarian Tone will present us with his just released collection of poems. The president of KD Tabor, who is the publisher of the collection, wrote as follows:
TONET'S FIRST POETRY COLLECTION ON THE ROAD
The first collection of poems by Tonet Strlicz comes to us as a quiet but valuable fruit of many years of creativity. Before us is not just a collection of poems, but the maturation of time, silence and devotion. This is a gift that did not arise overnight, although some song certainly arose at night. This gift has been woven through years of loyalty to the word, community and creative spirit. Tone has been a faithful member of the Cultural Society for more than half a century, where he enriches both the literary and theatrical groups with his dedication. His words carry the maturity of experience and the sensitivity of the observer, who knows how to recognize deeper meanings in everyday moments. His more than 40 years of work as a librarian, which he continues after his father, means the continuous operation of the Library in Podbrezje. Let Tonet's poetry collection be not just a book of poems, but an invitation to a world where experience, imagination and thoughtful beauty of the poetic soul meet. His poems thus bear the stamp of a man who understands that true art grows from listening to the world and from silent fidelity to the inner voice. May Poems be accepted as a precious tra El as we seek meaning and closeness. True art is always a bridge between man and man, between the present moment and eternity. Sincere congratulations to Tonet on this precious first book of poems with gratitude for everything that has been given.
Let the songs be given away.
