Bozidar Zrinski: "Bogdan borci / and Slovenian graphics of the second half 20. centuries”

The topic of the lecture will be the position of graphics in Ljubljana and Slovenia in the second half of the 20th century. century, when graphics is one of the more popular and widespread genres of visual art, partly due to the introduction of the Department of graphics at the ALU (1945) and the beginnings of the Biennial of graphic arts (1955), as well as for the sake of general cultural policy. We will also touch on the role of Borchi Faku in the vibrant community of graphic artists in Slovenia, his relationship with the Ljubljana School of graphic arts, the Biennale, art trends and more.
Bozidar Zrinski is a curator at the International Centre of graphic arts in Ljubljana.
* At 100. on the anniversary of the birth of Bogdan Borchiak in the Bozidar Jakac gallery we are preparing a series of three lectures dedicated to the development of graphics in Slovenia. Lectures are also accompanied by art workshops.

The workshop will be inspired by the creativity and the art world of Bogdan borci/. Through the exploration of form, character, texture and material, we will explore the possibilities of the graphic medium with different materials, layering and imprinting.

Božidar Zrinski: “Bogdan Borčić in slovenska grafika druge polovice 20. stoletja”

Tema predavanja bo položaj grafike v Ljubljani in Sloveniji v drugi polovici 20. stoletja, ko je grafika ena bolj priljubljenih in razširjenih zvrsti vizualne umetnosti, deloma zaradi uvedbe oddelka za grafiko na ALU (1945) in začetkov grafičnega bienala (1955), prav tako pa tudi zavoljo obče kulturne politike. Dotaknili se bomo tudi vloge Borčića v živahni srenji grafikov v Sloveniji, njegov odnos do ljubljanske grafične šole, bienala, umetnostnih trendov in še česa.
Božidar Zrinski je kustos v Mednarodnem grafičnem likovnem centru v Ljubljani.
*Ob 100. obletnici rojstva Bogdana Borčića v Galeriji Božidar Jakac pripravljamo sklop treh predavanj, posvečenih razvoju grafike na Slovenskem. Predavanja spremljajo tudi likovne delavnice.

Pred predavanjem se bo odvila tudi medgeneracijska grafična delavnica “Črta ob črti”

Delavnica se bo navdihovala pri ustvarjalnosti in likovnem svetu Bogdana Borčića. Skozi raziskovanje forme, znaka, teksture in materiala bomo z različnimi materiali, plastenjem in odtiskovanjem raziskovali možnosti grafičnega medija.
