The lecturer will present the findings of her master's research on the mental health of medical and psychology students and their relationship to seeking professional help. Both courses of study are considered extremely demanding and prepare young people for professions in which they will take care of the well-being of others. This is why it is important to pay attention to their own well-being.
It will focus on the question of why many who would need support do not seek you out. She will point out the most common obstacles, among which the desire to solve problems independently stands out, as well as differences between the sexes and both directions. She will also talk about the stigma that still accompanies seeking help and the ways in which it can be gradually reduced within the population studied.
Visitors will get an insight into the real state of mental health of future doctors and psychologists in Slovenia and an incentive to think about how to design an environment that guides young people to seek timely support.

Predavateljica bo predstavila ugotovitve svoje magistrske raziskave o duševnem zdravju študentov medicine in psihologije ter o njihovem odnosu do iskanja strokovne pomoči.
