CHILDREN'S BURLESQUE WITH A MESSAGE ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF FRIENDSHIP
The first children's theatrical burlesque in our country, entitled I squat, you jump, was inspired by old black and white films that, without words-only with strong acting expression and playful music – told wonderful stories and excited the masses.
Dramatic actor Tadej Piskek and actress and dancer Mojca spik in a fun movement performance (almost) without words, especially with movement, music, play and dolls, take us on a fun journey to the search for happiness and friendship. How bad it is when a person is left all alone. And how nice it is when someone offers you a hand so that you can vandalize the world for two. But sometimes a friend hides from us, or we are so absorbed in ourselves that we do not see him, even if he is standing right in front of us …
The story was inspired by the poem of the same name by the poet and writer Anja Stefan, and the author's music was written by the composer Marjan Peternel.
I squat, you jump,
I take it, you let go,
me to the left, you to the right,
I look, you close your eyes. I am a grinder, you are water,
I am flour, you are yeast,
I take it, you take it
for me, for you and for us.
We like to be together,
as always bread and honey,
being together – it's two
the most miraculous words. And that's why we love to be together,
it's easier to live together.
