Talk about the history of fish processing and preservation in the northeastern Adriatic.
Canning is an industrial method of food preparation that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. century and represents an important aspect in the political and social, economic and technological conditions of life. At the event, we will reflect on how the expansion of fish conservation and the development of the fish industry on the Adriatic islands and the Slovenian coast stimulates questions about science and Technology, Food Policy, women's Emancipation, degradation of the natural environment, the conflict between industry and tourism and the production of plastic waste, which usually ends up in the sea.
