Constellations are an artistic project that establishes a space of meeting between contemporary dance and jazz improvisation, between body and sound, between the individual and the community. It is a performance practice based on the principle of instant composition, which is this time co-created by a generationally and expressively diverse group of dancers and musicians: Alja Branc Barbosa, Milan Tom <url>, Urska Centa, Andreja Rauch Podrzavnik, Zigan Krajncan, kristna Peldov/, Lara Matea Ivancic, Sara Janashkovi/, Rok Zalokar, Kristijan Krajncan and Bostjan Simon.
The constellation project goes beyond understanding improvisation as a mere momentary responsiveness or impulsive expression. At the forefront is the group awareness of dramaturgy, which is organically formed at the time of the play – dramaturgy, which is not pre-defined, but arises as a result of multiple micro-decisions, constant listening and relational sensibility. It is a complex choreographic weaving that answers in real time the question of how to maintain internal coherence within the polyphony of expressions, practices and artistic languages.
The artistic focus moves towards the study of the structures of the relationship, both between bodies and between sounds, whereby the creators touch the fundamental truth of human experience: that reality as we perceive it always arises in relation to the other. Without these relational interweaving, the world would have no inner depth, no diversity, no sensory density. Constellations act as a laboratory of the modern community, in which individual expressiveness is revealed only through the ability to transform and recognize in another.
At the forefront is a horizontal structure of cooperation, without hierarchies and without rigid distribution of authorship, where the roles of leader and follower flow continuously. The creators consciously act as parts of a wider compositional whole that cannot be controlled or framed in advance. It can only be co-created with a high level of presence, flexibility and ethical openness.
The year 2025 marks a new chapter of the project, which after its first incarnation, the 29th. in April 2024, on the occasion of the International Dance Day, as part of the event "20 meters in length, nine meters in width and four meters in height" organized by the Society for Contemporary Dance of Slovenia, it is now focusing on in-depth process research. Design is not a product, but a process. Its purpose is not to present a completed form, but to establish conditions for intersections between the bodily, the sound and the perceptual, where art occurs as a continuous, open dialogue.
Constellations are thus both an artistic practice and a way of being, an attempt to establish a community that is not homogeneous, but constellations, intertwined, responsive, multifaceted.

Konstelacije so umetniški projekt, ki vzpostavlja prostor srečanja med sodobnim plesom in jazzovsko improvizacijo, med telesom in zvokom, med posameznikom in skupnostjo. Gre za uprizoritveno prakso, utemeljeno v principu instantne kompozicije, ki jo tokrat soustvarja generacijsko in izrazno raznolika skupina plesalcev in glasbenikov: Alja Branc Barbosa, Milan Tomášik, Urška Centa, Andreja Rauch Podrzavnik, Žigan Krajnčan, Kristýna Peldová, Lara Matea Ivančič, Sara Janašković, Rok Zalokar, Kristijan Krajnčan in Boštjan Simon.
Projekt Konstelacije presega razumevanje improvizacije kot zgolj trenutne odzivnosti ali impulzivnega izraza. V ospredje postavlja skupinsko zavedanje o dramaturgiji, ki se organsko oblikuje v času predstave – dramaturgiji, ki ni vnaprej začrtana, temveč vznikne kot rezultat mnogoterih mikroodločitev, nenehnega poslušanja in relacijske senzibilnosti. Gre za kompleksno koreografsko tkanje, ki v realnem času odgovarja na vprašanje, kako ohraniti notranjo koherenco znotraj polifonije izrazov, praks in umetniških jezikov.
Umetniški fokus se pomika k raziskavi struktur odnosa, tako med telesi kot med zvoki, s čimer se ustvarjalci dotikajo temeljne resnice človeške izkušnje: da resničnost, kot jo zaznavamo, vedno že nastaja v odnosu z drugim. Brez teh relacijskih prepletov svet ne bi imel notranje globine, raznolikosti niti čutne gostote. Konstelacije delujejo kot laboratorij sodobne skupnosti, v katerem se individualna izraznost razkriva šele skozi sposobnost transformacije in prepoznavanja v drugem.
V ospredju je horizontalna struktura sodelovanja, brez hierarhij in brez toge distribucije avtorstva, kjer se vloge vodje in sledilca neprestano pretakajo. Ustvarjalci zavestno delujejo kot deli širše kompozicijske celote, ki je ni mogoče nadzorovati ali vnaprej uokviriti. Možno jo je zgolj soustvarjati z visoko stopnjo prisotnosti, fleksibilnosti in etične odprtosti.
Leto 2025 zaznamuje novo poglavje projekta, ki se po svoji prvi inkarnaciji, 29. aprila 2024, ob mednarodnem dnevu plesa, kot del dogodka »20 metrov v dolžino, devet metrov v širino in štiri metre v višino« v organizaciji Društva za sodobni ples Slovenije, zdaj usmerja v poglobljeno procesno raziskovanje. Zasnova ni produktna, temveč procesualna. Njen namen ni predstavitev dokončane forme, temveč vzpostavljanje pogojev za presečišča med telesnim, zvočnim in zaznavnim, kjer se umetnost dogaja kot nenehen, odprt dialog.
Konstelacije so tako obenem umetniška praksa in način bivanja, poskus vzpostavitve skupnosti, ki ni homogena, temveč konstelacijska, prepletena, odzivna, večplastna.
