.

The quartet was born out of an artistic need to find their own sound and language common to all four members. This search moves on the boundary between the defined and the unspecified, just as different

the geographical and musical origin of the members of the quartet (Giovanni Nev 6jel and 6jannis Maizan come from neighboring Italy). Specifically, this is reflected in the many recorded musical themes that inspire them

very different contexts (traditional music, jazz, classical music, blues) linked by improvisation (both collective and individual). Thus, many choices are presented: playing in and

out of time, the presence and absence of a final structure or harmonic indication, the notated parts, and the improvised melodic contribution of each. The goal is to explore the many directions that arise from this approach and find new solutions in the relationships between improvisation and writing, individual and Group, cultural and folk.

.

This union of the choices of each member turned out to be a kind of "Flo / C" so we chose the Word Flow as the name of the quartet and, in our opinion, it best represents the sound we are looking for and what we want

communicate to the listener. The quartet played at the club Arci Piano B in Trieste, at the festival Teatri del Suono in Kontovel, at the festival of the Animatoung Buds of Jazz in Trieste, at the club Arci Gong in Gorizia.
