The work initially refers to the minimalist sculpture of the twentieth century. Klara SA Mod takes the modernist starting points as inspiration and develops a new, modern language on the basis of form, where raw material stands at the center. Formally derived from the minimalist modernist tradition, the syporex block installation runs continuously through all eight rooms, eventually joined by elements of narrative and sound that result in associative slides through the minimalist experience into something much more savage and humorous. Elevated modernism meets popular culture. It's a game with expectations. How do we understand the work with regard to the author? What if a group is hiding behind a personal name? What if Carl Andre is a techno musician from Canada? And isn't the artist Klara sa album the person in Don DeLillo's novel?
