Barbara Skubic has been active in the Slovenian cultural sphere for almost three decades. During this time, she worked as a dramaturg or translator with almost all Slovenian theatres.
She has translated several Grum Prize-winning drama works into English. It translates theoretical texts in the field of Performing Arts and humanities from English to Slovenian and vice versa, as well as literature from English and Arabic to Slovenian.
He frequently collaborates with the Institute for Slovenian emigration in the translation of the humanities and is particularly concerned with issues on the western edge of the Slovenian ethnic territory. Since 2005, when her translation of the Egyptian Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz's novel The Way between the palaces was published by CF., she has actively introduced the Slovenian public to culture and art from the Middle East.

Petra Amalia Bachmann is a cultural worker and activist, currently housed in Zagreb. Her work takes place at the intersection of Culture, Literature, Translation and human rights, with a special focus on regional cooperation and confronting the past. In the literary field, she is interested in intercultural and migratory scripts, hybrid identities, and experiences of homelessness, intermediate affiliation, multi-attachment, and non-attachment. He works in the field of cultural management, publishing, civil society and media, especially in the development and coordination of international cultural and educational initiatives.
Katja Zakracek is a comparativist and literary translator. He translates humanities and fiction from French, Portuguese and English, with an emphasis on postcolonial, especially African and aphrodisiac scripts; he advocates the dissection, decolonization and depatriarchalization of the literary space and the literary canon. Selma Skenderovi (2001) is a master's student in Slovene and Comparative Literature, translator, president of young PEN Slovenia and editor of Mentor magazine. As the youngest author at the age of 19, she won the festival of young literature Urska 2020. A year later, her short-lived debut album was released Why Are you silent, Hava?, which has been translated into several languages. In 2020 and 2021, she won the blitz award for Best Song. In 2022, the Slovenian book agency selected her for the Readers of Europe project with her book debut, in the same year she was nominated for the mira award and her book for the best literary debut, in 2023 she received the award for Best Young author at the Sarajevo Book Fair. In 2024, her novel and if everyone forgets was published at Cankar's publishing house. In 2025, JAK selected the novel for translation at 15. International Translation seminar of Slovenian literature.
The project is carried out in cooperation with Cankarjev Dom and The Danilo Kis Cultural Centre, a non-governmental institution working in the public interest in the field of culture.

Barbara Skubic je v slovenskem kulturnem prostoru dejavna že skoraj tri desetletja. V tem času je kot dramaturginja ali prevajalka sodelovala s skoraj vsemi slovenskimi gledališči.
V angleščino je prevedla več dramskih del, ki so prejela Grumovo nagrado. Prevaja teoretska besedila s področja uprizoritvenih umetnosti in humanistike iz angleščine v slovenščino in obratno ter literaturo iz angleščine in arabščine v slovenščino.
Pri prevajanju humanistike pogosto sodeluje z Inštitutom za slovensko izseljenstvo in se še posebej posveča vprašanjem na zahodnem robu slovenskega etničnega ozemlja. Vse od leta 2005, ko je pri založbi cf. izšel njen prevod romana egiptovskega nobelovca Naguiba Mahfouza Pot med palačama, slovensko javnost dejavno seznanja s kulturo in umetnostjo z Bližnjega vzhoda.

Njeno delo poteka na presečišču kulture, književnosti, prevajanja in človekovih pravic, s posebnim poudarkom na regionalnem sodelovanju in soočanju s preteklostjo. Na literarnem področju jo zanimajo interkulturne in migracijske pisave, hibridne identitete ter izkušnje brezdomnosti, vmesne pripadnosti, večpripadnosti in nepripadnosti. Deluje na področju kulturnega menedžmenta, založništva, civilne družbe in medijev, predvsem pri razvoju ter koordinaciji mednarodnih kulturnih in izobraževalnih pobud.
Katja Zakrajšek je komparativistka in literarna prevajalka. Iz francoščine, portugalščine in angleščine prevaja humanistiko in leposlovje s poudarkom na postkolonialnih, zlasti afriških in afrodiasporskih pisavah; zagovarja razpiranje, dekolonizacijo in depatriarhalizacijo literarnega prostora in literarnega kanona. Med njenimi avtorji_cami so Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o, Bernardine Evaristo, Akwaeke Emezi, Mia Couto, Marie Ndiaye, Emmanuel Dongala, Conceição Evaristo, Warsan Shire, pa tudi sodobne palestinske in palestinskodiasporske pesnice_ki kot Mosab Abu Toha, Batul Abu Aklin, Olivia Elias itd. Prejela je več prevodnih nagrad in priznanj (Sovretova, Cerarjeva, Radojke Vrančič ...). Kadar ne prevaja, piše spremne študije, prevodoslovne prispevke in eseje, moderira pogovore z gostujočimi avtorji_cami ter nastopa na literarnih dogodkih in branjih.
Selma Skenderović (2001) je magistrska študentka slovenščine in primerjalne književnosti, prevajalka, predsednica Mladega PEN Slovenije in urednica revije Mentor. Kot najmlajša avtorica je pri 19 letih zmagala na Festivalu mlade literature Urška 2020. Leto pozneje je izšel njen kratkoprozni prvenec Zakaj molčiš, Hava?, ki je bil preveden v več jezikov. V letih 2020 in 2021 je dobila nagrado blisk za najboljšo pesem. Javna agencija Republike Slovenije za knjigo jo je leta 2022 z njenim knjižnim prvencem izbrala za projekt Readers of Europe, istega leta je bila nominirana za nagrado mira, njena knjiga pa za najboljši literarni prvenec, leta 2023 je na knjižnem sejmu v Sarajevu prejela nagrado za najboljšo mlado avtorico. Leta 2024 je pri Cankarjevi založbi izšel njen roman In če vsi pozabijo. JAK je leta 2025 roman izbrala za prevajanje na 15. mednarodnem prevajalskem seminarju slovenske književnosti.
Projekt poteka v sodelovanju Cankarjevega doma in Kulturnega centra Danilo Kiš, nevladnega zavoda, ki deluje v javnem interesu na področju kulture.
