As a rule, when the reader picks up Kosovel's works, he is amazed that such a young person has created so much in such a short time. The same is true of his correspondence, which gives a sense of the reasons for such creative wealth: from it arises a sensitive, knowledgeable, pedantic, focused, critical, young man, full of plans, goals and ideas, who is characterized and hindered by the environment and the time in which he creates. That is why loneliness, sadness, melancholy are often felt between the lines, which seem to be especially present in the correspondence with the Tolmin colleague, poetess and future activist Fanica Obid. Almost in each of their letters there is a mention of autumn, which becomes a metaphor for the inner landscape of a young man who is robbed of his relaxed youth due to the cruelty of (post -) wartime. "The age is miserable, let us at least be full of life," writes a lottery ticket in one of the letters. All of them – without exception-are full of suggestions for reading, reflections on literature and the meaning of art, exchanges on the women's question and National Action, and descriptions of intimate, emotional, spiritual experiences. The correspondence between Lucky Kosovel and Fanica Obid is the richest, the most complete of all preserved: in itself it has the effect of being a story, as a dramatic proposal. On the occasion of Kosovel's year, when their letters as an independent whole under the editorial hand of ales Berger will be published in a youth book, it will also flow into a performance – small, intimate, but extremely strongly charged with a sense of time and their life in it. It will be created with the help of two young actors, students, and under the direction of Patrizia Jurincic Finzgar, who is employed as an actress at SNG Nova Gorica, and has been devoting herself to author projects and directing for several years.

Ko bralec vzame v roke Kosovelova dela, se praviloma čudi temu, da je tako mlad človek v tako kratkem času toliko ustvaril. Podobno velja za njegovo korespondenco, ki daje slutiti razloge za tako ustvarjalno bogastvo: iz nje vznika občutljiv, razgledan, pedanten, osredotočen, kritičen, mlad človek, poln načrtov, ciljev in zamisli, ki ga okolje in čas, v katerih ustvarja, zaznamujeta in ovirata. Zato je med vrsticami nemalokrat čutiti osamljenost, žalost, melanholijo, ki se zdijo v dopisovanju s tolminsko kolegico, pesnico in bodočo aktivistko Fanico Obid še posebej prisotni. Skoraj v vsakem njunem pismu je omenjena jesen, ki postane metafora notranje pokrajine mladega človeka, ki je zaradi surovosti (po)vojnega časa oropan sproščene mladosti. »Doba je klavrna, bodimo vsaj mi življenja polni,« zapiše Srečko v enem od pisem. Vsa – brez izjeme – so polna predlogov za branje, razmislekov o literaturi in smislu umetnosti, izmenjav o ženskem vprašanju in narodnem delovanju ter opisov intimnega, čustvenega, duhovnega doživljaja. Preko pisem se seznanita, spoznavata, zbližujeta, vzljubita. Besede, s katerimi drug drugemu izkazujeta naklonjenost, nas vabijo k fantaziranju o tem, kaj vse bi lahko drug drugemu postala, če …
Korespondenca med Srečkom Kosovelom in Fanico Obid je od vseh ohranjenih najbogatejša, najpopolnejša: že sama po sebi učinkuje kot zgodba, kot dramska predloga. Ta se bo ob priložnosti Kosovelovega leta, ko bodo njuna pisma kot samostojna celota pod uredniško roko Aleša Bergerja izdana pri Mladinski knjigi, prelila tudi v predstavo – majhno, intimno, a izjemno močno nabito z občutenjem časa in njunega življenja v njem. Nastala bo s pomočjo dveh mladih igralcev, študentov, in pod režijsko taktirko Patrizie Jurinčič Finžgar, ki je sicer kot igralka zaposlena v SNG Nova Gorica, že nekaj let pa se posveča tudi avtorskim projektom in režiji.
