In her third published novel, the writer put in the center of the story the quiet and restrained heroine Fann / Price, who comes from a poor family, but grows up with wealthy relatives on the Mansfield Park estate. Through this mature and in-depth literary work, which was initially ignored among critics, we will learn about the social relations, differences and changes of the time, including the issue of slavery and the movement to abolish it.
