On Thursday , 5. in March 2026 , at 18.00 in MAO we are hosting the Italian architect Pippa Ciorro, senior curator of Architecture at the MA Amuli Museum in Rome. As a curator, critic and educator, he systematically raises questions about the city, public space and the role of architecture in times of environmental and social transformations.
In a dialogue with him, designer Nika Zupanc will present her collaborations with Italian companies Alessi, Ditre Italia and Rossana Orlandi, as well as talk about product development in relation to the identity and values of individual companies. In the foreground will be the question of how to maintain a recognizable author's language within different production and cultural contexts.
The discussion will be moderated by Maja Vardjan , director of MAO.
The tenth edition of the Italian Design Da 6 opens the theme of RE-DESIGN: Regenerating spaces, objects, ideas, relationships and presents the top Italian architectural and design practice in an international context. The programme is co-created around the world by the Italian diplomatic network and cultural institutions, while in Ljubljana the event is being prepared in cooperation with the Italian Institute of culture, Ljubljana .

V četrtek , 5. marca 2026 , ob 18.00 v MAO gostimo italijanskega arhitekta Pippa Ciorro , višjega kustosa za arhitekturo v MAXXI muzeju v Rimu. Kot kurator, kritik in pedagog sistematično odpira vprašanja mesta, javnega prostora ter vloge arhitekture v času okoljskih in družbenih transformacij.
V dialogu z njim bo oblikovalka Nika Zupanc predstavila svoja sodelovanja z italijanskimi podjetji Alessi, Ditre Italia in Rossana Orlandi ter spregovorila o razvoju izdelkov v odnosu do identitete in vrednot posameznih podjetij. V ospredju bo vprašanje, kako ohraniti prepoznavno avtorsko govorico znotraj različnih produkcijskih in kulturnih kontekstov.
