EXPLANATORY REPORT ON THE PROJECT 6.–7. september 2025 Gorizia / Nova Gorica 1. Isonzo GRAVEL RIDE general description of the initiative two-day Gravel bike tour or Mountain bike between Gorizia, Nova Gorica, Vipava Valley, cycling route along the Sochi River and Gorizia Brda.
In short, a real tour on two wheels among the most hidden wonders of Gorizia and neighboring Slovenia.
The logistical and organizational base will be the Stella Mattutina gym in the center of Gorizia. Competitors will try Bike packing on 95 km (long track) and 40 km (short track).
It is possible to work with a Gravel bike, a classic mountain bike or an e-bike.
So it is 1. ISONZO GRAVEL RIDE open to everyone: for the most experienced athletes, but also for lovers of nature, well-being and healthy life.
E-bikes and Gravel bikes can be the property of participants or can be rented directly on site.
But that's not all: in two days, the contestants and their families will be offered guided tours of the cultural, historical, architectural and natural beauties of our surroundings.
Gorizia and Gorizia Brda, located on the border between Italy and Slovenia, offer a rich combination of historical sites, breathtaking landscapes and agricultural traditions related to viticulture.
The following are some suggestions for participants and attendants for the Saturday before the competition: 1. Historical sights: Gorizia Castle: one of the most beautiful and important castles in the province, which rests above the Gorizia town.
Its medieval structure and the various exhibitions on display inside make it a memorable landmark.
From here the view extends all the way to Slovenia.
Corso Italia in Travnik: the center of Gorizia with its pedestrian streets, shops and historic cafes is ideal for walking through the architectural beauties of the city.
The meadow is the heart of the city.
Coronini Cronberg Palace: a beautiful palace from the 18th century. century, in which a collection of works of art and antique equipment and a historical library are collected. Military Cemetery in Oslavje: a place of great historical importance where Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers who lost their lives in the first World War rest.
Gorizia Brda is known for its winegrowing landscapes and the hills that separate Italy from Slovenia.
This area is known for producing fine wines, especially white ones such as Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc and Ribolla Gialla. 2.
Guided farm tours: Magnas farm house: one of the most famous wineries in Brda, known for the quality of its wines and careful selection of grapes.
They offer guided tours of the wineries and tastings of the best wines, including white and Friulano.
Kante farm house: known for the production of organic wine, Kante offers a unique experience with tours of the wineries and tastings that tell the history and philosophy of the winemaker.

Museum of the Great War in Gorizia: an interesting museum that explores the historical events of the first World War through photographs, exhibits and documents.
Calvary: a mountain that offers a beautiful view of the city of Gorizia and the surrounding valleys.
There are also some historic structures, including a church dedicated to Our Lady.
In addition to the offer described above, the companions and friends of the contestants will be able to experience Brda virtually during the competition via the innovative app "COLLIO ANIMATR", with an exciting journey through centuries and different historical periods.
The tools used innovative cooperation between different actors who are at heart with the promotion of tourism in our region.
That is why we cooperate with ASD Corallo, the Area12 news agency, Studio3natura for guided nature tours, the Fagotour agency for renting e-bikes and gravel bikes and the various municipalities (Italian and Slovenian) through which the Tour takes place.
Expected results we expect an enthusiastic response from bike lovers from Italy and abroad.
We know that the demand for events such as the Isonzo GRAVEL RIDE is in constant growth, as is the desire to get to know new places that mass tourism has not yet reached.
Therefore, we expect a lot of applications and, above all, a great recognition of the sporting event itself and our entire area.

POJASNILNO POROČILO O PROJEKTU 6.–7. september 2025 Gorizia/Nova Gorica 1. ISONZO GRAVEL RIDE SPLOŠNI OPIS POBUDE Dvodnevna tura s kolesom Gravel ali Mountain bike med Gorico, Novo Gorico, Vipavsko dolino, kolesarsko potjo ob reki Soči in goriškimi Brdi.
Skratka, prava tura na dveh kolesih med najbolj skritimi čudesi Gorice in sosednje Slovenije.
Logistična in organizacijska baza bo telovadnica Stella Mattutina v centru Gorice. Tekmovalci se bodo preizkusili v Bike Packingu na 95 km (dolga proga) in 40 km (kratka proga).
Sodelovati je mogoče s kolesom Gravel, klasičnim gorskim kolesom ali e-kolesom.
Torej je 1. ISONZO GRAVEL RIDE odprt za vse: za najbolj izkušene športnike, pa tudi za ljubitelje narave, dobrega počutja in zdravega življenja.
E-kolesa in kolesa Gravel so lahko last udeležencev ali pa se jih lahko najame neposredno na kraju samem.
To pa še ni vse: v dveh dneh bodo tekmovalcem in njihovim družinam na voljo vodeni ogledi kulturnih, zgodovinskih, arhitekturnih in naravnih lepot naše okolice.
CILJ PROJEKTA Gorica in goriška Brda, ki ležita na meji med Italijo in Slovenijo, ponujata bogato kombinacijo zgodovinskih krajev, dih jemajočih pokrajin in kmetijskih tradicij, povezanih z vinogradništvom.
V nadaljevanju je nekaj predlogov za udeležence in spremljevalce za soboto pred tekmovanjem: 1. Zgodovinska znamenitosti: goriški grad: eden najlepših in najpomembnejših gradov v pokrajini, ki sloni nad goriškim mestom.
Njegova srednjeveška struktura in različne razstave, ki so na ogled v notranjosti, ga naredijo za nepozabno znamenitost.
Od tu se razteza pogled vse do Slovenije.
Corso Italia in Travnik: center Gorice s svojimi pešconimi ulicami, trgovinami in zgodovinskimi kavarnami je idealno za sprehod po arhitekturnih lepotah mesta.
Travnik je srce mesta.
Palača Coronini Cronberg: Čudovita palača iz 18. stoletja, v kateri je zbrana zbirka umetnin in starinske opreme ter zgodovinska knjižnica. Vojaško pokopališče na Oslavju: Kraj velikega zgodovinskega pomena, kjer počivajo italijanski in avstro-ogrski vojaki, ki so izgubili življenje v prvi svetovni vojni.
Goriška Brda so znana po svojih vinogradniških pokrajinah in hribih, ki ločujejo Italijo od Slovenije.
To območje je znano po proizvodnji vrhunskih vin, zlasti belih, kot so Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc in Ribolla Gialla. 2.
Vodeni ogledi kmetijskih gospodarstev: Kmetijska hiša Magnas: Ena najbolj znanih kleti v Brdih, znana po kakovosti svojih vin in skrbnem izboru grozdja.

Kalvarij: Gora, ki ponuja čudovit razgled na mesto Gorizia in okoliške doline.
Tu je tudi nekaj zgodovinskih zgradb, med njimi cerkev, posvečena Mariji.
Poleg zgoraj opisane ponudbe bodo spremljevalci in prijatelji tekmovalcev med tekmovanjem prek inovativne aplikacije „COLLIO XR“ lahko virtualno doživeli Brdaz vznemirljivo potovanjem skozi stoletja in različne zgodovinske obdobja.
UPORABLJENA ORODJA Inovativno sodelovanje med različnimi akterji, ki jim je promocija turizma v naši regiji pri srcu.
Zato sodelujemo z Asd Corallo, tiskovno agencijo Area12, Studio3natura za vodene naravoslovne oglede, agencijo Fagotour za najem e-koles in gravel koles ter različnimi občinami (italijanskimi in slovenskimi), skozi katere poteka Tour.
PRIČAKOVANI REZULTATI Pričakujemo navdušen odziv ljubiteljev koles iz Italije in tujine.
Vemo, da je povpraševanje po prireditvah, kot je ISONZO GRAVEL RIDE, v nenehnem porastu, prav tako kot želja po spoznavanju novih krajev, ki jih množični turizem še ni dosegel.
Zato pričakujemo veliko prijav in predvsem veliko prepoznavnost samega športnega dogodka in celotnega našega območja.
