At the end of the summer season and the beginning of autumn, you are invited and invited to the AKC Metelkova city playground for the traditional annual community event Playground is not a parking lot. This year's volleyball feats have been extremely successful, so we will not need special heating at all. In the order now established, we will first take care of the maintenance tools and then sharpen our heels and toes so that our bodies clearly communicate: we do not give the playground!
Despite the apparently devastating consequences of the vision of the city's development, which has long been imposed by the City Municipality of Ljubljana (MOL), not infrequently also with outright violence, it does not deviate from its plans to regulate, at its discretion, “empty” or “disorderly” spaces and the crowding out of their users. AKC Metelkova city also still lives and operates under constant threat. MOL officially still has not resigned from the project of taking away the metelkov playground and building a hotel on it. There are also still no guarantees that the construction of a new Medical Center will not affect the space of the autonomous Center. Hostel Celica, which is managed by MOLov public institute, regularly shows ambitions to arrange a playground in one way or another. At the same time as his guests destroy the community infrastructure, they complain about its condition, not paying much attention to good neighborly relations. The question of what will happen to the wall between the playground and the adjacent parking lot when construction work for the new Medical center begins also remains open.
Building a healthy community with sports, taking care of trees and other plants and good company, we still pay attention to the fact that the authorities and profit-eaters do not steal or damage our premises, and to attempts to impose their authority and management. The Metelkova playground is part of an autonomous space and part of an autonomous community that has been caring for it for years and lovingly transforming it into a place of life.
Our playground is neither a hotel, nor a parking lot!

Our playground is a place where we make new acquaintances and alliances. It is a space where we meet more or less regularly in motion, taking care of ourselves and each other. The playground is an open space designed for everyone to rest in the shade of the mighty birch, and with a good harvest also refresh themselves with Kiwi and, perhaps, soon also with plums. Ash, ginkgo and fig provide their home to birds, while bees and other insects find delicacies in the herb bed. We sometimes write and draw some important message on the walls, and for two years now we have been protected from the top of the wall by the Guardians of autonomy. The playground grows out of business overheated, but at the same time cold Ljubljana, as a small piece of hope for a lost common life even in times of devastation of the capitalist system and wars. Ob zaključku poletne sezone in začetku jesenske vabljene in vabljeni na igrišče AKC Metelkova mesto na tradicionalni vsakoletni skupnostni dogodek Igrišče NI parkirišče. Letošnji odbojkarski podvigi so bili nadvse uspešni, zato posebnega ogrevanja sploh ne bomo potrebovali. Po zdaj že utečenem vrstnem redu bomo najprej poprijeli za vzdrževalna orodja, nato pa nabrusili pete in prste, da naša telesa jasno sporočijo: Igrišča ne damo!
Navkljub očitno uničujočim posledicam vizije razvoja mesta, ki ga že dolgo vsiljuje Mestna občina Ljubljana (MOL), neredko tudi z odkritim nasiljem, ta od svojih načrtov urejanja po njeni presoji “praznih” ali “neurejenih” prostorov in izrivanja njihovih uporabnikov ne odstopa. Tudi AKC Metelkova mesto še vedno živi in deluje pod stalno grožnjo. MOL uradno še vedno ni odstopil od projekta odvzema metelkovskega igrišča in gradnje hotela na njem. Prav tako še vedno ni zagotovil, da gradnja novega zdravstvenega centra ne bo prizadela prostora avtonomnega centra. Hostel Celica, s katerim upravlja MOLov javni zavod, redno izkazuje ambicije po tem, da bi tako ali drugače urejal igrišče. Hkrati s tem, ko njegovi gostje uničujejo skupnostno infrastrukturo, se pritožujejo nad njenim stanjem, ne da bi se kaj prida ozirali na dobrososedske odnose. Odprto ostaja tudi vprašanje, kaj se bo zgodilo z zidom med igriščem in sosednjim parkiriščem, ko se bodo začela gradbena dela za nov zdravstveni center.
Ob grajenju zdrave skupnosti ob športu, skrbi za drevesa in druge rastline ter dobri družbi smo še vedno pozorni na to, da nam oblastniki in dobičkoželjneži ne ukradejo oziroma poškodujejo naših prostorov ter na poskuse vsiljevanja svoje oblasti in upravljanlja. Metelkovsko igrišče je del avtonomnega prostora in del avtonomne skupnosti, ki zanj že leta skrbi in ga z ljubeznijo spreminja v prostor življenja.
Naše igrišče ni ne hotel, ne parkirišče!
Ogrodje za kivi ni odbijač za avtomobile turistov, niti smetišče ali stranišče!
Naše igrišče je prostor, kjer sklepamo nova poznanstva in zavezništva. Je prostor, kjer se bolj ali manj redno srečujemo v gibanju, ob skrbi zase in drug za drugega. Igrišče je odprt prostor, namenjen vsem, da se spočijejo v senci mogočne breze, ob dobri letini pa tudi okrepčajo s kivijem in morda kmalu tudi s slivami. Jesen, ginko in figa nudijo svoj dom pticam, čebele in druge žuželke pa najdejo dobrote v zeliščni gredi. Na stene včasih napišemo in narišemo kakšno pomembno sporočilo, že dve leti pa nas z vrha zidu ščitijo varuhi avtonomije. Igrišče raste iz z biznisom pregrete, a hkrati hladne Ljubljane, kot majhen košček upanja za izgubljeno skupno življenje tudi v času devastacije kapitalističnega sistema in vojn.
