Igor Bravnicar: Metamorphoses Igor Bravničar: Metamorfoze

In the exhibited cycle of metamorphosis, the artist sets as a starting point his older work, executed in the technique of oil on canvas, decomposing it with the help of a photographic process and translating it into a completely different medium. There is a cycle of six C-print Metamorphoses on a dibond basis, where, as a fundamental trace of reproducibility, it maintains the same dimension and way of framing, as well as the painted relationships within the image field, but the tactile structures and interrelationships and tensions of the color spectrum change. In a changed color vibration, the new work gets its own, new identity.
