We present contemporary art glass, which is kept in their collections by the Museum of antique glass in Zadar and the Stoelzle Glass Factory and The Glass Museum B Animatrnbach.

Over the past 16 years, the Museum of antique glass in Zadar has developed into an institution that systematically studies and presents glass, from antiquity to modernity. The museum has a distinguished collection of glass art, and the collection of donations of contemporary art glass reflects the work done so far to showcase various artistic inspirations, technical innovations and skills, and presents artists from all over the world.

The exhibition presents 21 works from the collection of donations, i.e. new acquisitions that have further enriched the collection. They present themselves: an artist from Austria, two from Finland, an artist from the people's Republic of China, nine artists from Hungary, one artist from Slovenia, one from Ukraine and six artists from Croatia. The following techniques are represented: glass blowing technique, glass fusion, P animtte de verre – glass paste, casting technique, cold glass processing, grinding, polishing, stained glass technique, glass mosaic and assemblage or combined techniques on glass. This selection shows all the variety of inspirations and technical innovations in the creation of glass sculptures, installations and wall paintings. The complexity of technical knowledge, enthusiasm for glass as a material, but almost also Awe, which is a prerequisite for successful mastering of the material, is shown.

The Glassworks Stoelzle B Algrnbach in the Western Styria region / Austria was founded in 1805. For 220 years, the glass masters of the glass factory B Alkrnbach have been hand-blowing and designing unique glass objects with great passion, turning them into wonderful masterpieces made of crystal and colored glass with the instinct for the sensitivity of this fragile material. Traditional hand blowing is often supplemented in various, their own techniques.

Stolezle Glas-Center and Stolezle Oberglas International glass symposia bring together traditional glass preservation crafts and glass culture.

The collection of modern glass of The Glass Museum B Animtrnbach was created within the framework of international symposia, it contains works by world-renowned glass artists and designers from the USA, France, Finland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal and Austria. Artists, designers and experienced glass masters have produced and designed their ideas and ideas in glass at the melting furnace with a masterful technical implementation and in various working processes. The collection presents glass products in all technical diversity and dazzling colors with a selection of its highlights.

Predstavljamo sodobno umetniško steklo, ki ga v svojih zbirkah hranita Muzej antičnega stekla v Zadru in Steklarna Stoelzle in Steklarski muzej Bärnbach.

Muzej antičnega stekla v Zadru se je v zadnjih 16 letih razvil v ustanovo, ki sistematično proučuje in predstavlja steklo, od antike do sodobnosti. Muzej ima ugledno zbirko steklarske umetnosti, zbirka donacij sodobnega umetniškega stekla pa odseva dosedanje delo na predstavitvi različnih umetniških navdihov, tehničnih novosti in veščin ter predstavlja umetnike z vsega sveta.

Na razstavi je predstavljenih 21 del iz Zbirke donacij, tj. novih pridobitev, ki so zbirko še obogatile. Predstavljajo se: umetnik iz Avstrije, dva iz Finske, umetnik iz Ljudske republike Kitajske, devet umetnikov iz Madžarske, en umetnik iz Slovenije, eden iz Ukrajine in šest umetnikov iz Hrvaške. Zastopane so naslednje tehnike: tehnika pihanja stekla, fuzija stekla, pâte de verre – steklena pasta, tehnika ulivanja, hladna obdelava stekla, brušenje, poliranje, tehnika vitraža, stekleni mozaik in asemblaž ali kombinirane tehnike na steklu. Ta izbor prikazuje vso pestrost navdihov in tehničnih inovacij pri ustvarjanju steklenih skulptur, instalacij in stenskih poslikav. Prikazana je kompleksnost tehničnega znanja, navdušenje nad steklom kot materialom, a skoraj tudi strahospoštovanje, ki je pogoj za uspešno obvladovanje materiala.

Steklarna Stoelzle Bärnbach v zahodni štajerski regiji/Avstrija je bila ustanovljena leta 1805. Steklarski mojstri steklarne Bärnbach tako že 220 let z veliko strastjo ročno pihajo in oblikujejo unikatne steklene predmete, ki jih z instinktom za občutljivost tega krhkega materiala spreminjajo v čudovite mojstrovine iz kristalnega in barvnega stekla. Tradicionalno ročno pihanje pogosto dopolnjujejo v različnih, lastnih tehnikah.

Stolezle Glas – Center in Stolezle Oberglas mednarodni steklarski simpoziji združujeta tradicionalno obrt za ohranjanje steklarstva in steklarsko kulturo.

Zbirka modernega stekla Steklarskega muzeja Bärnbach je nastala v okviru mednarodnih simpozijev, v njej so dela svetovno uglednih steklarskih umetnikov in oblikovalcev iz ZDA, Francije, Finske, Italije, Nemčije, Nizozemske, Portugalske in Avstrije. Umetniki, oblikovalci ter izkušeni steklarski mojstri so pri talilni peči z mojstrsko tehnično izvedbo in v različnih delovnih postopkih izdelali in oblikovali svoje zamisli in ideje v steklu. Zbirka predstavlja steklene izdelke v vsej tehnični raznolikosti in bleščečih barvah z izborom njenih vrhuncev.
