BIOS animalmbiotic e Animaloskeleton represents an inflatable spacesuit that, under extreme extraterrestrial conditions, allows symbiotic coexistence with the organisms that make up the human microbiome.
Wednesday, 30. in July 2025, at 19.30, the exhibition Dorotea Dolinsek, entitled BIOS Animulmbiotic E Animuloskeleton, opens at the Edutcenter.
BIOS animalmbiotic E Animaloskeleton by artist Dorotea Dolinsek presents an inflatable spacesuit that, under extreme extraterrestrial conditions, enables symbiotic coexistence with microbes, fungi, archaea and viruses – organisms that make up the human microbiome. The project speculatively pursues the possibilities of survival beyond the Earth, where the human body breaks down into functionalities and connects in a rhizomatic relationship with other species. Through this process, the body is formed into a new system, where the microbiome becomes a vital organ whose maintenance is key to survival. The project touches on both personal intimacy and wider ecological issues and offers a reflection on new living conditions based on care, interspecies connection and radical transformation of the human body.
The project was produced by Ars Electronica within the European Media Art Platform (EMAP)and co-produced with Kersnikova Institute-Kapelica Gallery within the official GO! 2025.

Biosymbiotic Exoskeleton predstavlja napihljiv skafander, ki v ekstremnih zunajzemeljskih pogojih omogoča simbiotsko sobivanje z organizmi, ki tvorijo človeški mikrobiom.
V sredo, 30. julija 2025, ob 19.30 se v Xcentru odpira razstava Dorotee Dolinšek z naslovom Biosymbiotic Exoskeleton.
Biosymbiotic Exoskeleton umetnice Dorotee Dolinšek predstavlja napihljiv skafander, ki v ekstremnih zunajzemeljskih pogojih omogoča simbiotsko sobivanje z mikrobi, glivami, arhejami in virusi – organizmi, ki tvorijo človeški mikrobiom.
Projekt je nastal v produkciji Ars Electronica v okviru European Media Art Platform (EMAP) in v koprodukciji z Zavodom Kersnikova – Galerijo Kapelica v okviru uradnega programa GO! 2025.
