In recent months, SCCA-Ljubljana has intensively acquired new works and enriched the archive by around 100 new units. There will be only a sample from the numerous and diverse author's production that has been created in recent years.
Programme
Beyond the visible
New acquisitions of DIVA station
Participating: Ursula Berlot, Sara Bezovsek, Peter Cerovsek, Neza Grum, Matevz Jerman, Lealudvik, Emil Memon, Niko Novak, P L A T E E S I d U E, Small but dangers
Curator: Vesna Bukovec and Peter Cerovsek (SCCA-Ljubljana)
Duration: 58’
The collection draws on the new acquisitions of the Diva station archive and presents an insight into the diverse content approaches of authors and authors of several generations with characteristic author's poetics. The works are linked by expressions of varying degrees of discomfort and the living anxiety that pervades today.
Microscopic visualizations of chemical and physical processes that are not visible to the naked eye, in the video Inverse Space (2017) by Ursula Berlot, sharpen the view into a parallel microworld. This invisible world has a huge impact on our everyday reality, which is especially familiar to us during the coronavirus pandemic. Irresponsible human action affects the environment and has far-reaching consequences for the planet. The picture of our future is foggy, which is shown in the two-channel video Alma Mater (2018) with the lens of melting ice from the ice cave by tandem P L A T E AU R E S I D u e (Eva Pavlic Seifert and Aljaz Celarc). In the poetic short experimental film she winks, flowers tremble (2017), inertia and unresponsiveness are portrayed as an ethical problem by Matevz Jerman and Niko Novak. An unusual joint experience, reflecting the fear of the unknown, is presented by the short feature film we are all here from time immemorial (2016) Neze Grum, Peter Cerovski and Matevz Jerman. About existential fear and being trapped in apparent freedom through glitches-errors in the codec that unpredictably malign the image-in the two-channel video I'l'tould go poof! (2017) is spoken by tandem Lealudvik (Lea Jelenko and Matjaz Komel). The small but dangers tandem (Mateja Rojc and Simon Hudolin) also humorously approaches the manipulation of the digital image. In the video Celavi_3.PPS illustration (2013), which is actually an animation in the program after the Animatorpoint, make fun of the popularization of yoga, as a widespread form of self-help. Collaging visual quotations from popular culture and the web is a characteristic feature of Sara Bezovsek's works. In the work, the story of the pleasures and consequences of the irresponsible use of the web and digital technologies is woven from the 2019 trilogy of the illuminatiolenc=3. In the music video on the Run, an American song (2018), Emil Memon blocks the movement he sings about with an almost static image, illustrating being trapped in a world from which we cannot escape.

Nabor črpa iz novih pridobitev arhiva Postaja DIVA in predstavlja vpogled v raznolike vsebinske pristope avtoric in avtorjev več generacij z značilnimi avtorskimi poetikami. Dela povezujejo izrazi različnih stopenj nelagodja in bivanjska tesnoba, ki preveva današnji čas.
Mikroskopske vizualizacije kemijskih in fizikalnih procesov, ki s prostim očesom niso vidni, v videu Inverzni prostor (2017) Uršule Berlot izostrijo pogled v vzporeden mikrosvet. Matevž Jerman in Niko Novak v poetičnem kratkem eksperimentalnem filmu Ona mežika, cvetje drhti (2017) inercijo in neodzivnost upodobita kot etični problem. Nenavadno skupno izkušnjo, ki odraža strah pred neznanim, predstavlja kratki igrani film Vsi smo tu že od nekdaj (2016) Neže Grum, Petra Cerovška in Matevža Jermana. O eksistencialnem strahu in ujetosti v navidezni svobodi s pomočjo glitchev – napak v kodeku, ki nepredvidljivo maličijo sliko – v dvokanalnem videu I would go poof! (2017) govori tandem Lealudvik (Lea Jelenko in Matjaž Komel). K manipulaciji digitalne podobe humorno pristopa tudi tandem Small but dangers (Mateja Rojc in Simon Hudolin). Emil Memon v glasbenem videu On the Run, an American song (2018) s skoraj statično podobo blokira gibanje, o katerem poje, in ponazarja ujetost v svet, iz katerega ne moremo pobegniti.
