Gotropolis 2025: dancing the streets – Tango workshop with stories.
The dance of the street tango workshop originates in the slums at the mouth of the Rio de la Plata in the port city, where the end of the 19. for centuries there was a strange mixture of immigrants who came from many different cultures and countries in search of a better life. The dance, which soon developed into tango, arose spontaneously on the show and became an obligatory part of the street action.
We, too, are moving to the street along the border mix of cultures, where we will conduct a tango workshop.
No prior knowledge is required. The workshop is led by dance therapist Maja Dvorsek.

Delavnica tanga Ples ulice izvira iz revnih četrtih ob rečnem ustju Rio de la Plata v pristaniškem mestu, kjer je konec 19. stoletja bivala nenavadna mešanica priseljencev, ki so prihajali iz mnogih različnih kultur in držav v iskanju boljšega življenja. Ples, ki se je kmalu razvil v tango, je naqstajal spontano in je postal obvezen del uličnega dogajanja.
Tudi mi se ob obmejni mešanici kultur selimo na ulico, kjer bomo izvedli delavnico tanga.
