Thousands of fun-loving visitors flock to the remote St. Louis plateau in the municipality of Tolmin every year at the end of June. They are cared for for three days by more than 350 locals who have been organizing the mountain of Rock festival for twenty-one years. During the highlights of the performances of the musical groups (Big Foot Mama, Vlado Kreslin and the little gods, Magnifico, MRF 6, Society of Dead Poets, Hamo & Tribute 2 Love, S. A. R. S., Tabu, Fehtarji, Orlek, Fed Horses, Delta Riff, Agan, Ikebana ensemble, cat K Fautt, pajamas, Smacked, Vazz Live, Killing Club, mustaches, Strmole quartet, Snezhet vocal group with folk musicians) we meet the organizers a charity festival that has grown from humble beginnings into the identity core of the people of these places. It has become a crossroads of rural and urban culture, a building block of social cohesion, a place of meeting people who would not have met otherwise, and a generator of relationships that would not have happened otherwise. In an era of triumphant individualism, the mountain of Rock is an expression of group Spirit, and that is why planters are increasingly wondering if they can defy the pressure of time and if they will still have the strength to continue a project that has outgrown them all?

Gora Rocka se vrača v Izolo – tokrat v Letni kino Arrigoni!
Z nami bodo tudi organizatorji festivala in ustvarjalci filme ter večer bomo popestrili z glasbenim vložkom – kmalu pa bomo izdali, kdo bo še z nami tisti torek

Na odmaknjeno Šentviško planoto v občini Tolmin se vsako leto konec junija zgrinja na tisoče zabave željnih obiskovalcev. Za njih tri dni skrbi več kot 350 domačinov, ki že enaindvajset let organizirajo festival Gora Rocka. Med utrinki nastopov glasbenih skupin (Big Foot Mama, Vlado Kreslin in Mali bogovi, Magnifico, MRFY, Društvo mrtvih pesnikov, Hamo & Tribute 2 Love, S.A.R.S., Tabu, Fehtarji, Orlek, Fed Horses, Delta Riff, Agan, Ansambl Ikebana, Mačji Kwt, Pižoni, Smacked, Vazz Live, Killing Klub, Brkovi, Kvartet Strmole, Vokalna skupina Snežet z ljudskimi godci) spoznavamo organizatorje dobrodelnega festivala, ki je iz skromnih začetkov prerastel v identitetno jedro ljudi teh krajev. Postal je stičišče podeželske in urbane kulture, gradnik družbene povezanosti, prostor srečevanja ljudi, ki se sicer ne bi srečali, in generator odnosov, ki se drugače ne bi zgodili. V dobi zmagujočega individualizma je Gora Rocka izraz skupinskega duha in zato se Planotarji vse pogosteje sprašujejo, ali lahko kljubujejo pritisku časa in ali bodo še imeli moč nadaljevati projekt, ki jih je vse prerastel?
