On Saturday, 9. in May, the Kino Otok International Film festival in cooperation with the Marezige Youth Association, the MareziJazz International Big Band Festival and the summer jazz school grab the sound is preparing a balanced music and film Evening. On The Square next to the Triglav Cafe at 19. uri we start jam session of summer school mentors grab the sound. At the same time, it will be a pleasant warm-up for the summer MareziJazz, because the final concert of the school participants traditionally takes place right at the July Festival in idyllic Marezige, which will take place this year between 10. and 12. July.
At 20.45 the cult classic of the new Yugoslav Film When I'm dead and white follows (Kad budem mrtav i beo, Zhivojin Pavlovi/, 1967, https://kinootok.org/dogodek/ko-bom-mrtev-in-bel/). in the film, we follow Dzhimi Barka (Dragan Nikoli/), a young seasonal worker of questionable moral principles and Ear, who embarks on a long journey of finding his place in society.
"It seems to me that the closeness of the ethical defeat that we perceive in every fragment of this society is most clearly reflected in the spiritual profile of the generations that are just emerging. The hero of my new film, Jimi Barka, is a young man with a healthy life momentum, but he doesn't know what to do with himself ...” said director Zhivojin Pavlovi/, one of the leading representatives of the still fresh and striking new Yugoslav Film of the late sixties of the last century.
Musicians bring their own instrument; the venue will have a microphone, bass amplifier, keyboard and drum set (with cymbals).

V soboto, 9. maja, mednarodni filmski festival Kino Otok v sodelovanju z Mladinskim društvom Marezige, mednarodnim festivalom big bandov MareziJazz ter poletno jazz šolo Zgrabi Zvok pripravlja ubran glasbeno-filmski večer. Na trgu ob Kavarni Triglav ob 19. uri začenjamo jam session mentorjev poletne šole Zgrabi Zvok. To bo hkrati prijetno ogrevanje za poletni MareziJazz, saj se zaključni koncert udeležencev šole tradicionalno zgodi prav na julijskem festivalu v idiličnih Marezigah, ki bo letos potekal med 10. in 12. julijem.
Ob 20.45 sledi kultna klasika novega jugoslovanskega filma Ko bom mrtev in bel (Kad budem mrtav i beo, Živojin Pavlović, 1967, https://kinootok.org/dogodek/ko-bom-mrtev-in-bel/). V filmu spremljamo Džimija Barko (Dragan Nikolić), mladega sezonskega delavca vprašljivih moralnih načel in posluha, ki se poda na dolgo pot iskanja svojega mesta v družbi.
“Zdi se mi, da se bližina etičnega poraza, ki jo zaznavamo v vsakem drobcu te družbe, najočitneje odraža v duhovnem profilu generacij, ki šele nastopajo. Junak mojega novega filma Džimi Barka je mladenič z zdravim življenjskim zagonom, vendar ne ve, kaj bi sam s sabo …” je o filmu povedal režiser Živojin Pavlović, eden vodilnih predstavnikov še danes svežega in udarnega novega jugoslovanskega filma poznih šestdesetih let prejšnjega stoletja.
Glasbeniki prinesite svoj inštrument; na prizorišču bodo na voljo mikrofon, bas ojačevalec, klaviatura ter bobnarski set (s činelami).
