"The voice grows with us: vocal technique for working with children's and youth choirs"
How do we build a healthy, resilient and natural voice from the first singing steps forward? The workshop will focus on the foundations of vocal technique in children and adolescents – from posture, breath and relaxation to sound formation, voice range and search for a sounding voice attitude. We will learn about short-term and long-term approaches that help choirs develop their voices in singers of different ages, starting from practical examples and exercises, which will also be shown with the help of the present demonstration children's choir. Special emphasis will be placed on the search for a vocal ideal that supports a healthy voice and sounding group musicality.
The workshop is intended for teachers, choirs of children's and youth choirs and anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the development of voice in young singers. The workshop is free. Applications are accepted until the places are filled.
At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of completion of professional education.

About the mentor:
Martina Burger is a Slovenian opera singer, vocal pedagogue and choir director. Since September 2024, she has been leading the children's choir RTV Slovenia, and is employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Education of the University of Maribor, where she also participates in the artistic and pedagogical work of two faculty choirs – the mixed choir of the Department of music and the selection choir. He pedagogically and artistically shapes future music educators within the study process and leads them into practical choral work. She has collaborated with numerous Slovenian and foreign choirs, including the professional choir HRT, Vocal Academy Ljubljana, APZ Maribor, Ljubljana madrigalists, MEPZ Emil Komel from Gorizia and several choirs from Salerno, Rome and Trieste, where she performed vocal preparation of singers, artistic advice and assistance to conductors. For many years she has been a member of the professional leadership of the camp of young singers of Primorska, where in a week she prepares demanding programs with young people, mostly polyphonic compositions, which requires in-depth methodological work and a high artistic level.Her work also includes the implementation of vocal technique seminars for choirmasters, pedagogues and singers in Slovenia and abroad. The emphasis is on linking vocal pedagogy with conducting work and the development of modern approaches in music education. As a soprano, she has achieved notable success on Opera and concert stages and has collaborated with leading Slovenian and international orchestras.

“Glas raste z nami: vokalna tehnika za delo z otroškimi in mladinskimi zbori"
Kako gradimo zdrav, prožen in naraven glas že od prvih pevskih korakov naprej? Na delavnici se bomo posvetili temeljem vokalne tehnike pri otrocih in mladostnikih – od drže, diha in sproščenosti do oblikovanja zvoka, razpona glasu ter iskanja zveneče glasovne naravnanosti. Spoznali bomo kratkoročne in dolgoročne pristope, ki zborovodjem pomagajo razvijati glas pri pevcih različnih starosti, pri čemer bomo izhajali iz praktičnih primerov in vaj, ki bodo prikazane tudi s pomočjo prisotnega demonstracijskega otroškega pevskega zbora. Poseben poudarek bomo namenili iskanju vokalnega ideala, ki podpira zdrav glas in zvenečo skupinsko muzikalnost.
Delavnica je namenjena učiteljem, zborovodjem otroških in mladinskih zborov ter vsem, ki želijo poglobiti razumevanje razvoja glasu pri mladih pevcih. Delavnica je brezplačna. Prijave sprejemamo do zapolnitve mest.
Udeleženci bodo ob koncu izobraževanja prejeli potrdilo o opravljenem strokovnem izobraževanju.

O mentorici:
Martina Burger je slovenska operna pevka, vokalna pedagoginja in zborovodkinja. Od septembra 2024 vodi Otroški zbor RTV Slovenija, zaposlena pa je kot asistentka na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Mariboru, kjer sodeluje tudi pri umetniškem in pedagoškem delu dveh fakultetnih zborov – Mešanega zbora Oddelka za glasbo ter Izbirnega zbora. Pedagoško in umetniško oblikuje bodoče glasbene pedagoge znotraj študijskega procesa in jih vodi v praktično zborovsko delo. Sodelovala je s številnimi slovenskimi in tujimi zbori, med drugim s profesionalnim zborom HRT, Vokalno akademijo Ljubljana, APZ Maribor, Ljubljanskimi madrigalisti, MePZ Emil Komel iz Gorice ter z več zbori iz Salerna, Rima in Trsta, kjer je izvajala vokalno pripravo pevcev, umetniško svetovanje in pomoč dirigentom. Že vrsto let je članica strokovnega vodstva Tabora mladih pevcev Primorske, kjer v enem tednu z mladimi pripravi zahtevne programe, večinoma večglasne skladbe, kar zahteva poglobljeno metodološko delo in visoko umetniško raven.Njeno delo obsega tudi izvajanje seminarjev vokalne tehnike za zborovodje, pedagoge in pevce v Sloveniji in tujini. Poudarek daje povezovanju vokalne pedagogike z dirigentskim delom ter razvoju sodobnih pristopov v glasbeni vzgoji. Kot sopranistka je dosegla vidne uspehe na opernih in koncertnih odrih ter sodelovala z vodilnimi slovenskimi in mednarodnimi orkestri.
