As part of the theater season 2025/2026, the play "Gaber – Mi fa male il mondo/the world hurts me"will be staged on the stage of the Teatra Verdi Theater.

Together with director and dramatist Giorgio Gallione, Neri Marcor Smith has extensively researched Gaber's material. This return (the first experience dates back to 2007) is both an ethical and artistic necessity, and an even more mature and informed opportunity to readmit the work of "the man with the two capital letters G".
"Gaber-Mi fa male il mondo" is an exploration of the creative, narrative, ethical and literary universe of two great authors of theatre and song.
For years, Giorgio Gaber and Sandro Luporini have studied the changes in our society and the individuals who inhabit it with cleverness, ruthlessness and irony, as well as with great emotional engagement.
Gaber, a master storyteller and a perfect artist, has thus accompanied us between the private and the political on a hesitant and uncertain path towards a society that fights against a dictatorship of stupidity, conformism and constant self-forgiveness. The show seeks to return to the roots of inspiration for these musical works and, years later, metaphorically enter the studio/laboratory/think tank where Gaber and Luporini worked and created thoughts for over forty years.

Neri Marcorè je skupaj z režiserjem in dramatikom Giorgiom Gallionejem obsežno raziskal Gaberjevo gradivo. Ta vrnitev (prva izkušnja sega v leto 2007) je tako etična kot umetniška nujnost ter še bolj zrela in informirana priložnost za ponovni sprejem dela "moža z dvema velikima črkama G".
»Gaber – Mi fa male il mondo« je raziskovanje ustvarjalnega, pripovednega, etičnega in literarnega vesolja dveh velikih avtorjev gledališča in pesmi.
Giorgio Gaber in Sandro Luporini že leta z bistrostjo, brezobzirnostjo in ironijo, pa tudi z veliko čustveno angažiranostjo, preučujeta spremembe v naši družbi in posameznikih, ki jo naseljujejo.
Gaber, mojster pripovedovanja zgodb in popoln umetnik, nas je tako spremljal med zasebnim in političnim na oklevajoči in negotovi poti proti družbi, ki se bori proti diktaturi neumnosti, konformizma in nenehnega samoodpuščanja. Predstava se želi vrniti h koreninam navdiha za ta glasbena dela in leta pozneje metaforično vstopiti v studio/laboratorij/možganski trust, kjer sta Gaber in Luporini več kot štirideset let delala in ustvarjala misli.
