When the castle as we know it today did not exist, a large dragon flew onto the hill above the city. He was constantly hungry and in a bad mood, growled and snorted so loudly all night that the townspeople could not sleep; moreover, he was insatiable.
To solve the problem, the mayor of Ljubljana called on all the brave guys to drive the dragon from the Castle Hill. They tried in various ways, but to no avail. But when the dragon was tempted by the mayor's daughter Daisy, Frederick, the castle rat, is sent for the famous knight Yuri.
The puppet show, based on the famous legend of the Knight Yuri and the Dragon and Frederick's adventures, described in the picture book stamp / Gombacha Frederick, the Dragon, The Empress and the Legionnaire, will take the children to the mysterious world of the Ljubljana Castle. They will learn what role the Castle Hill played, how the Knight Yuri becomes the patron saint of Ljubljana and where the chapel dedicated to him stands in the castle. The castle's best guide, the Rat Frederick, who has resided in the castle for centuries, together with a knight will defeat a terrible dragon ... all this in a playful and fun way in the style of a table puppet theater.

Lutkovna predstava Friderik in zmaj je RAZPRODANA. Vabljeni k ogledu 4. oktobra ob 17.00.
Ko gradu, kakršnega poznamo danes, še ni bilo, je na grič nad mestom priletel velik zmaj. Bil je neprestano lačen in slabe volje, renčal je in vse noči smrčal tako na glas, da meščani niso mogli spati; poleg tega je bil nenasiten.
Da bi rešili težavo, je ljubljanski župan pozval vse pogumne fante, da preženejo zmaja z Grajskega griča. Poskušali so na razne načine, a brez uspeha. Ko pa je zmaja zamikala županova hči Marjetica, pošljejo Friderika, grajsko podgano, po slavnega viteza Jurija.
Lutkovna predstava, nastala po znani legendi o vitezu Juriju in zmaju ter Friderikovih prigodah, opisanih v slikanici Žige X. Gombača Friderik, zmaj, cesarica in legionar, bo otroke popeljala v skrivnostni svet Ljubljanskega gradu. Spoznali bodo, kakšno vlogo je imel Grajski grič, kako vitez Jurij postane zavetnik Ljubljane in kje na gradu stoji kapelica, posvečena prav njemu. Najboljši grajski vodnik, podgana Friderik, ki na gradu prebiva že stoletja, bo skupaj z vitezom premagal strašnega zmaja … Vse to na igriv in zabaven način v slogu namiznega lutkovnega gledališča.
