Last summer you plunged into the magical world under the stars with us – this time we are back with a film that will captivate you again. After 40 years, the legendary film Summer in a shell (1986) directed by tug Stiglicz returns to Slovenian screens, in a digitally restored version.
A heartfelt story that is both youth and timeless. Get to know the story of a teenage boy, Thomas, who is going through his last childhood summer – full of friendly adventures, first loves and finding the courage to grow up.
Story:
Young man Tomaz is spending his last childhood summer torn between playful days on the beach and the quiet pain of the separation of his parents, who in their overwork do not notice that their son is growing up faster than they expected.
While playing and exploring the world, he finds rare moments of understanding with an elderly seafarer named Luka, who gives him a conch. Every time he puts her to his ear, pictures of summer are revealed to him – first love, genuine friendships and unforgettable experiences that will mark him forever.
