The municipality of Maribor has entered on the map of Slovenian municipalities that join the European Mobility Week every year.
For many years Maribor has been actively involved in the European Mobility Week, the European Commission's flagship campaign promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly urban mobility. This year's slogan, "mobility for all", highlights the key message: making sustainable transport solutions accessible to everyone, regardless of financial capacity, location, gender, age or physical ability. With this, Maribor is actively fighting transport poverty and striving for inclusive mobility of the future.
Maribor can already boast 14 electric buses running around the city , and four more will soon join them. In doing so, it is taking the lead in Slovenia in introducing quieter and significantly more environmentally friendly buses. The success in changing travel habits is also evidenced by the reactions to innovative services such as Prostofer and Doctor Maister, where 50 users are recorded in the first day alone. In addition, Maribor is one of the Slovenian cities with the highest use of MBajk rental bikes in terms of population.
This year's European Mobility Week in Maribor brings a large set of free events, which will take place between the 16. and 22. September.
Mestna občina Maribor se je vpisala na zemljevid slovenskih občin, ki se vsako leto pridružujejo Evropskemu tednu mobilnosti.
Maribor se že vrsto let aktivno vključuje v Evropski teden mobilnosti, vodilno kampanjo Evropske komisije, ki spodbuja trajnostno in okolju prijazno mobilnost v mestih. Letošnji slogan, "Mobilnost za vse", poudarja ključno sporočilo: zagotavljanje dostopnosti trajnostnih prevoznih rešitev za vsakogar, ne glede na finančne zmožnosti, lokacijo, spol, starost ali telesne sposobnosti. S tem se Maribor aktivno bori proti prevozni revščini in stremi k vključujoči mobilnosti prihodnosti.
Maribor se lahko pohvali z že 14 električnimi avtobusi , ki vozijo po mestu, kmalu pa se jim bodo pridružili še štirje. S tem prevzema vodilno vlogo v Sloveniji pri uvajanju tišjih in bistveno bolj okolju prijaznih avtobusov. Uspeh na področju spreminjanja potovalnih navad dokazujejo tudi odzivi na inovativne storitve, kot sta Prostofer in Doktor Maister , kjer je samo v prvem dnevu zabeleženih 50 uporabnikov. Poleg tega Maribor sodi med slovenska mesta z najvišjo uporabo koles za izposojo MBajk glede na število prebivalcev.
Letošnji Evropski teden mobilnosti v Mariboru prinaša velik nabor brezplačnih dogodkov, ki se bodo odvijali med 16. in 22. septembrom.
