Etno Histeria World Orchestra je edinstven mednarodni orkester, ki od leta 2003 vsako poletje združi več kot 80 glasbenikov in glasbenic z vseh celin. V enem tednu brez not, po posluhu in skozi intenziven proces skupnega ustvarjanja nastane povsem nov koncertni program iz avtorskih skladb ter ljudskih melodij z vsega sveta. Rezultat je živahna zvočna pokrajina, polna improvizacije, virtuoznosti, humorja in nepričakovanih glasbenih srečanj.
Orkester ni le koncertna zasedba, temveč tudi prostor srečevanja, sodelovanja in družbenega angažmaja. Poleg koncertov na festivalih in odrih glasbeniki in glasbenice nastopajo tudi v lokalnih skupnostih, domovih za starejše, zaporih in drugih prostorih, kjer glasba povezuje ljudi ter odpira prostor za dialog. Vsak koncert je neponovljivo doživetje, ki briše meje med kulturami, žanri in občinstvom.
Etno Histeria World Orchestra is a unique international orchestra that has brought together more than 80 musicians from all continents every summer since 2003. In just one week, without sheet music and entirely by ear, they create a brand new concert programme through an intensive process of collective music making. Original compositions and traditional melodies from around the world are transformed into fresh arrangements, resulting in a vibrant musical journey full of improvisation, virtuosity, humour and unexpected encounters.
More than just a concert ensemble, Etno Histeria World Orchestra is also a space for collaboration, cultural exchange and social engagement. Alongside festival and concert performances, the musicians perform in local communities, nursing homes, prisons and other spaces where music can build bridges between people. Every concert is a one of a kind experience that dissolves the boundaries between cultures, genres and audiences.
