A unique musical world between Persian tradition and contemporary creativity.
Named after an ancient Persian form of poetry, the ensemble Chak / ampm explores the space of encounter between music and poetry, creating a unique language in which top instrumentalists with traditional stringed instruments tar, kanun and viola da gamba bring musical material to life somewhere between classical heritage and contemporary improvisation. The Trio draws from the treasuries of the Persian, Arabic and European Baroque repertoire, interspersed with contemporary authorial compositions by female musicians. The dialogue of stringed instruments alternates between sound intensity and meditative concentration, connecting three different worlds. The founder of the ensemble, Iranian musician Sogol Mirzaei, is a renowned Iranian classical performer on the Tar instrument and received her master's degree in musicology at the Sorbonne, where she met Marie-Suzanne de lo Aluce, who with her viola da gamba instrument devoted herself to early music, mainly Anatolian, Persian and Breton. The third member is Greek Eleanna Pitsikaki, one of the most recognizable performers on Kanun in today's international music scene. Her approach to this musical instrument is dynamic, with it she revives the traditions of East and West, makam Meets jazz, Heritage modernity. He is currently completing his doctoral studies at the University of music Mainz, where he focuses on transcultural music, migration and affiliation.
Thus, the trio also represents the meeting of life paths and experiences, expressing through music the longing for the lands they have left, the feeling of uprooting and carrying memories of places that are disappearing. But it also testifies to the creative power that is born from meeting, discovering and constantly transforming identity.
Since its founding in 2019, the Chak Armamm ensemble has quickly established itself in the French and international music scene. In 2023, female musicians were honored for outstanding artwork at Diaspora Music a Contactards. In 2024, they performed at the SHO islamcase Festival, and in 2025, they released a debut album called Les Vents Br Islamclants.

Edinstven glasbeni svet med perzijsko tradicijo in sodobno ustvarjalnostjo.
