Elena Fajt: Cohabitation Elena Fajt: Sobivanja

Elena Fajt is a fine artist who comes from the field of textile design. She chose cropped human hair as her basic medium of expression instead of classic materials. With the cohabitation exhibition, which she specifically designed for the gallery's lapidary, she continues with her multi-year project of the hairpin. This time, with specific installations made of cut human hair, which she weaves into the wider environment (water, light, trees/air), she expanded the narrative to different life States as we perceive them in our everyday environment.

Elena Fajt je likovna umetnica, ki izhaja s področja tekstilnega oblikovanja. Za svoj osnovni izrazni medij je namesto klasičnih materialov izbrala odrezane človeške lase. Z razstavo Sobivanja, ki jo je specifično zasnovala za lapidarij galerije, nadaljuje s svojim večletnim projektom Lasnine. Tokrat je s specifičnimi instalacijami iz odrezanih človeških las, ki jih vpenja v širše okolje (voda, svetloba, drevesa/zrak), pripoved razširila na različna življenjska stanja, kot jih zaznavamo v vsakdanjem okolju.
