For more than three decades, Nova Gorica has been considered one of the leading cities in the field of urban culture and sport in Slovenia. After the demise of the long-running urban culture festival “Urban projekt”, part of which was also the BM entertainment competition, the city lost the only major event in the field of BM entertainment culture. But not for long. In order to maintain the growth and development of the BM entertainment culture in Gorizia, as well as in the surrounding area, the young people as the group ED shots CRE shots started organizing the annual BM entertainment competition known as Ed shots Jam.
To date, eight Ed chemicals jams have been implemented, as well as four Ed chemicals street jams, all supported by local sponsors and the go SK8 Sports Cultural Association, which operates in the skatepark itself. Approximately 50 competitors from several foreign countries took part in the competition each year (Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Austria,...) as well as a rich audience.
At the event, we support the presentation of local culinary artists, musicians, DJs, street artists, craftsmen and all like-minded people from the field of this urban culture in our country and neighbors from Italy. With this, the ED commercials Jam event is establishing itself within BM entertainment culture as the largest BM entertainment street style competition in Slovenia and neighbouring countries. With the help of sponsors, we would like to improve this year's event even more and bring it closer to the level of other European BM event competitions, thus attracting the participation of professional competitors, which would significantly increase tourism in Nova Gorica, the interest in this Olympic discipline and the motivation of young people to a healthy, active and self-initiated life.
Nova Gorica že več kot tri desetletja velja za eno izmed vodilnih mest na področju urbane kulture in športa v Sloveniji. Po prenehanju dolgoletnega festivala urbane kulture “Urban projekt”, del katerega je bilo tudi BMX tekmovanje, je mesto izgubilo edini večji dogodek na področju BMX kulture. A ne za dolgo. Da bi ohranili rast in razvoj BMX kulture na Goriškem, kot tudi v okolici, smo mladi kot skupina EDWS Crew pričeli z organizacijo vsakoletnega BMX tekmovanja, znanega kot EDWS Jam.
Do danes je bilo izvedenih že osem EDWS Jam-ov kakor tudi štiri EDWS street Jam-i, vsi podprti s strani lokalnih sponzorjev ter športno kulturnega društva GO SK8, ki deluje v skateparku samem. Tekmovanja se je vsako leto udeležilo približno 50 tekmovalcev iz več tujih držav (Italija, Hrvaška, Srbija, Avstrija,...) kakor tudi bogato število gledalcev.
Na samem dogodku podpiramo predstavitve lokalnih kulinarikov, glasbenikov, DJ-ev, street artist-ov, obrtnikov in vseh podobno mislečih s področja te urbane kulture pri nas in sosedih iz Italije. S tem se dogodek EDWS Jam uveljavlja znotraj BMX kulture kot največje BMX tekmovanje uličnega sloga na slovenskem in v sosednjih državah. Letošnji dogodek bi želeli s pomočjo sponzorjev še izboljšati ter približati ravni drugih evropskih BMX tekmovanj ter na ta način privabiti udeležbo profesionalnih tekmovalcev, kar bi znatno povečalo turizem v Novi Gorici, interes za to olimpijsko disciplino ter motivacijo mladih do zdravega, aktivnega in samoiniciativnega življenja.
