Monday, 11.May at 18.00 - upper FO Alver
Opening of a peculiar documentary exhibition " Wild 70. years in Carinthia - Die animatilden 70er and K Animatrnten". The vice-president of the Slovenian Educational Association in Klagenfurt , Janko Malle, Carinthian-Slovenian politician Mirko Messner and former senator from Trieste Milos Budin will speak at the opening ceremony.
The exhibition highlights the turbulent and eventful decade and its impact on minority politics and the Austrian public, presented from the perspective of Slovenian youth actors. At the same time, it raises the question of what is still affecting today, when in 2026 it will be 50 years since the counting of the minority.
The events of the Seventies put Carinthia in the political and media spotlight due to the unresolved minority issue. Particularly notable was the 1976 minority count, which revealed the absurdity of restricting the rights of the 7th. the Austrian state treaty. Due to the resistance of the Carinthian Slovenes and wider solidarity, the attempt failed. This period was also the time of their emancipation, with youth playing an important role. A key role was played by the Slovenian gymnasium, where an educated and socially conscious generation was formed, demanding equality and connecting with Democratic Initiatives at home and abroad.
The exhibition also invites visitors to reflect on what the image of society would be if the rights were from 7. articles consistently implemented.
The exhibition is organised by the Cultural Centre Gorica, the workshops of the museum / Amaterkstattmuseum and the Slovenian Educational Association (SPZ) from Klagenfurt in cooperation with the Maja cultural cooperative from Gorizia (within the framework of the project "Cedermaci of today") and with the patronage of the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians abroad and around the world and SKGZ.
It will be on display until 25. in May 2026 according to the following schedule : from Monday to Friday from 9: 00 to 12: 00 and from 16: 00 to 18: 00, and in the evening at various cultural events.

Ponedeljek, 11.maja ob 18.00 – zgornji foyer
Dogodki v sedemdesetih letih so Koroško zaradi nerešenega manjšinskega vprašanja postavili v politično in medijsko ospredje.
