Dyslexia and scotopic syndrome Disleksija in skotopični sindrom

General libraries of Dolenjska, Bela Krajina and Posavje vas on Thursday, 7. in October 2021, at 18. we invite uri to an online lecture by Dr. Aksinja Kermauner entitled dyslexia and scotopic syndrome. This will be the fourth in a series of joint events and activities that we are preparing in 2021.

On the occasion of the International Day of dyslexia, Dr. Aksinja Kermauner will talk about dyslexia and scotopic syndrome (i.e. Helen Irlen syndrome), with which dyslexia can be confused or co-occurring. She will also present everyday life with the aforementioned syndrome alongside the content of her latest picture book in a whirlpool of letters, which is intended for both young and adult readers. Dr. Aksinja Kermauner grew up with books and breathed a cultural air from an early age. But he thinks about the meaning and role of literature in a peculiar way. In 1982 she graduated from the pedagogical academy in Ljubljana, majoring in Slovene and art. She later trained professionally at the Faculty of Education and Defectology in Zagreb. In 2010, she completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana at the Department of special and rehabilitation pedagogy. For 26 years, she worked as a teacher of Slovene and art classes at the Institute for blind and visually impaired youth in Ljubljana, and now teaches at the Faculty of Education in Koper. Her area of expertise is typhlopedagogy. Her central literary work is also aimed at the blind and visually impaired, while at the same time she wants to present blindness to the sighted and the midnight.

Splošne knjižnice Dolenjske, Bele krajine in Posavja vas v četrtek, 7. oktobra 2021, ob 18. uri vabimo na spletno predavanje dr. Aksinje Kermauner z naslovom Disleksija in skotopični sindrom. To bo četrto v nizu skupnih dogodkov in aktivnosti, ki jih pripravljamo v letu 2021.

Ob mednarodnem dnevu disleksije bo dr. Aksinja Kermauner spregovorila o disleksiji in skotopičnem sindromu (tj. sindrom Helen Irlen), s katerim se disleksija lahko zamenjuje ali sopojavlja. Vsakdan z omenjenim sindromom bo predstavila tudi ob vsebini svoje najnovejše slikanice V vrtincu črk, ki je namenjena tako mladim kot odraslim bralcem. Dr. Aksinja Kermauner je rasla s knjigami in že od malega dihala kulturniški zrak. O pomenu in vlogi literature pa razmišlja na svojstven način. Leta 1982 je diplomirala na Pedagoški akademiji v Ljubljani, smer slovenščina in likovni pouk. Kasneje se je strokovno izpopolnjevala na Pedagoški in Defektološki fakulteti v Zagrebu. Leta 2010 pa je na Pedagoški fakulteti v Ljubljani zaključila še doktorski študij na Oddelku za specialno in rehabilitacijsko pedagogiko. 26 let je bila kot učiteljica slovenščine in likovnega pouka zaposlena v Zavodu za slepo in slabovidno mladino v Ljubljani, zdaj pa predava na Pedagoški fakulteti v Kopru. Njeno strokovno področje je tiflopedagogika. Tudi njeno osrednje literarno ustvarjanje je namenjeno slepim in slabovidnim, obenem pa želi slepoto predstaviti videčim in polnočutnim.
