The exhibition the day before , between war and Peace, presents the independence events of the southern seaside region in the first days of the war, negotiations, withdrawal and departure of Yugoslav army units from Slovenia.
In the first part of the exhibition, The author Ivan Simcic presents the legal acts that were adopted to start the process of independence. In the following, it chronologically shows through word and photo the exit of the JA units from Ilirska Bistrica in the direction of the border crossings Fernetici, Lipica, Krvavi potok and Bishopric and the spontaneous resistance of the population against aggression.
The work of the members of the then militia, which took care of order and non-violent obstruction of the JA units, is highlighted. Armed resistance was carried out by territorial defense together with the militia, followed by negotiations and the final withdrawal of JA units from the territory of Slovenia.
The independence process in the southern Primorsky Territory is shown with pictorial and written material, as well as exhibits (weapons, uniforms and other items).

Razstava Dan prej, med vojno in mirom , predstavlja Osamosvojitvene dogodke Južnoprimorske pokrajine v prvih dneh vojne, pogajanja, umik in odhod enot jugoslovanske armade iz Slovenije.
V prvem delu razstave avtor Ivan Simčič predstavi pravne akte, ki so bili sprejeti, da se je pričel proces osamosvojitve. V nadaljevanju pa kronološko prikaže skozi besedo in fotografijo izhod enot JA iz Ilirske Bistrice v smeri mejnih prehodov Fernetiči, Lipica, Krvavi potok in Škofije ter spontan upor prebivalstva zoper agresijo.
Izpostavljeno je delo pripadnikov takratne milice, ki je skrbela za red in nenasilno oviranje enot JA. Oborožen odpor je izvedla teritorialna obramba skupaj z milico, temu so sledila pogajanja in končno umik enot JA z ozemlja Slovenije.
Osamosvoijtveni proces na južnem Primorskem je prikazan s slikovnim in pisnim gradivom pa tudi razstavljenimi eksponati (orožje, uniforme in drugi predmeti).
