Damijan Kracina (1970), master of Arts, entered the Slovenian art scene during his studies at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts in the nineties. This was a time when artists intensively responded to the increasingly pressing ecological problems in the environment, including by problematizing the threat of animal species. This topic attracted Damian Kracina to such an extent that in the mid-nineties he prepared a solo exhibition on this topic in the Kapelica Gallery entitled Kracina TV. Since then, he has been faithful to this theme to this day, which is confirmed by the exhibitions that have always been followed by new ones (ZOO, a Animaluarium, Galapagos, Animal Tour, Sanitarium), Up to today's title in the year of the Dragonfly , which he designed for the lapidarium of the Bozidar Jakac Gallery in Kostanjevica na Krki. Given that each exhibition has so far thematized a certain aspect of the aforementioned topic (e.g. Galapagos as a metaphor for a scientific expedition), he conceives this project as a museum presentation of the discoveries made so far, which offers the viewer quite a few surprises.

Damijan Kracina (1970), magister umetnosti, je na slovensko likovno sceno vstopil že v času študija na ljubljanski likovni akademiji v devetdesetih letih. To je bil čas, ko so se umetniki intenzivno odzivali na vse bolj pereče ekološke probleme v okolju, med drugim tudi s problematiziranjem ogroženosti živalskih vrst. Ta tematika je Damijana Kracino pritegnila do te mere, da je sredi devetdesetih let v Galeriji Kapelica pripravil samostojno razstavo na to temo z naslovom Kracina TV. Od tedaj je tej temi zvest vse do danes, kar potrjujejo razstave, ki so ji med drugimi sledile vselej nove (ZOO, Aquarium, Galapagos, Animal Tour, Sanitarium), vse do današnje z naslovom V letu kačjega pastirja , ki jo je zasnoval za prostore lapidarija Galerije Božidar Jakac v Kostanjevici na Krki. Glede na to, da je na vsaki razstavi doslej tematiziral določen vidik prej omenjene teme (npr. Galapagos kot metafora znanstvene odprave), koncipira tokratni projekt kot muzejsko prezentacijo dosedanjih odkritij, ki gledalcu ponuja kar nekaj presenečenj.
