Magdalena Reiter: Quartet Magdalena Reiter: Kvartet

The quartet is a performance for a dancer, a dancer and two cameras. The research excursion is devoted to the internal and external architectures of our relationships. Live cameras follow the action, act as a mirror and a voyeur; they emphasize and change what is already visible and expose the hidden.
The primary processes of building the choreography and the performance itself are reduction, doubling and editing. Reduction to the most basic elements of relationship, movement and physical closeness. Walking, touching, looking, composing into a quartet score. Duo view, camera view, viewer view. And the play, as the essence of the relationship and the act of staging itself. A game of possible combinations of reduced and re-expanded elements. The central point between the body and the two-dimensional image is the game of opposites between pleasure and violence, coexistence and travel.
The fabricated story, shown from different perspectives, is revealed to the audience and allows you to follow the construction of the stage reality itself.

Kvartet je predstava za plesalko, plesalca in dve kameri. Raziskovalna ekskurzija je posvečena notranjim in zunanjim arhitekturam naših odnosov. Kameri v živo spremljata dogajanje, delujeta kot ogledalo in voajer; poudarjata in spreminjata to, kar je že vidno in razgaljata skrito.
Primarni postopki gradnje koreografije in same predstave so redukcija, podvojitev in montaža. Igra možnih kombinacij zreduciranih in ponovno razširjenih elementov.
