As part of the Slovenian film cycle in Italy, there will be 13. in March, at the House of film in Gorizia, a screening of the film Cent'anni with English and Italian subtitles is on display. Cent'anni is an emotional carousel of emotions with heartbreaking confessions and breathtaking panoramas, encapsulated in an unfiltered testimony of love and change. The screening will be followed by a conversation with the director, who will share an insight into the making of the film and tell us more about the story she has woven both for and in front of the camera.
Cent'anni without pathos, but with felt film poetics opens up space for reflection. The camera follows Blaz Murno, who, after suffering a serious illness, embarks on one of the most challenging cycling routes – the legendary Giro d'italia. Next to him is his life and film Partner, Director Maja Dorotheja Prelog, who captures through the camera not only the sports and physical ordeal, but also the shifts in their relationship, where perseverance on the road is intertwined with inner struggles and unspoken emotions. The film was created under the auspices of the production house Cvinger Film,and its producer is Rok Bick. Cent'anni won the audience award for Best Documentary at the Trieste Film Festival and a special award for promoting gender equality at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
