Forest therapies for the elderly will take place in March, May and June. For everyone who wants to know what forest therapy is all about, we invite you to a free presentation.
Forest therapy, also known as forest bathing, or “shinrin-animatoku” in Japanese, is a practice that promotes connection with nature through the senses. It developed in Japan in the 80s. in the years of the last century, in response to the increasingly common problems of stress and exhaustion. Today, Forest Therapy is recognized all over the world and is becoming increasingly popular in Slovenia. In countries such as South Korea, Scotland and Portugal, doctors include it as part of holistic health care and prescribe a “forest recipe”.
Numerous scientific studies confirm that forest therapy reduces the level of cortisol (stress hormone), improves sleep quality, strengthens the immune system and has a positive effect on cardiovascular health. It also increases concentration and improves overall well-being. Because of these beneficial effects, forest therapy is recognized as particularly beneficial for older adults, as it supports their physical and mental health in a gentle and relaxed way.
The workshop is led by certified forest therapy practitioner Ana Hribar Podkresek. Participation is free, an entrance fee to the park is paid. Season tickets to enter the park are valid. We meet at the entrance to the park. Mandatory registration at ana.hribar@gmail.com or 041 814 449.
Important: the meeting is suitable for everyone who can walk about 1.5 km in a slow rhythm. If you have any questions or health challenges, contact a practitioner to see if forest therapy is right for you.

Delavnico vodi certificirana izvajalka gozdne terapije Ana Hribar Podkrajšek.
