The project is inspired by the address of Giuseppe Ungaretti 15. in February 1968, on the occasion of the award of an honorary degree in literature from the University of Trieste. Based on the principles expressed by the poet in his speech, an art installation was created with a powerful message that peace should be nourished by the warmth and closeness of people, wanting to make an observer a participant, not a passive spectator, but a builder of the meaning of peace. The itinerant setting will come to life in three symbolic locations of the first World War, a conflict that Ungaretti experienced firsthand on the eastern border: in Trieste, Gorizia and the Karst.

UNGARETTI V TRSTU LETA 1968: "RAZUMETI MORAMO, DA SMO BRATJE"
Projekt se zgleduje po nagovoru Giuseppeja Ungarettija 15. februarja 1968 ob podelitvi častne diplome iz književnosti Univerze v Trstu.
Na podlagi načel, ki jih je pesnik izrazil v svojem govoru, je nastala umetniška instalacija z močnim sporočilom, da je treba mir hraniti s toplino in bližino ljudi, ki želi iz opazovalca narediti udeleženca, ne pasivnega gledalca, temveč graditelja pomena miru.
Potujoča postavitev bo zaživela na treh simboličnih lokacijah prve svetovne vojne, spopada, ki ga je Ungaretti na lastni koži izkusil na vzhodni meji: v Trstu, Gorici in na Krasu.
Otvoritev: ponedeljek, 5. maja ob 18. uri
