Throughout the history of pedagogical processes, it is difficult to find a project that in practice would more complexly encompass educational guidelines made to the person, as was the case with the Bauhaus. In just fourteen years of operation, the Bauhaus has become significantly more than a school, it has become a humanistic model for the future, which, despite the fact that it will soon be 100 years since its foundation, has far from exhausted itself, and its founder, the Modalter Gropius, is so considered by many to be among the founders of modernist architecture. Since the authors of the Bauhaus belong to the time frame of Slovenian authors, the originators of Slovenian expressionism, whose collections are kept by the Bozidar Jakac gallery, we were pleased to bring together in our Exhibition Center the Chernigoj / Teater, the Loka museum from Skopje Loka and works from the Marie-Luise Betlheim collection, which were part of the major Bauhaus exhibition within the framework of the Bauhaus project – networking of ideas and practice (BauNet), organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb and thus by the Slovenian artist August Chernigoj (1898, Trieste – 1985, Sezana) put in context with the active actors of the Bauhaus in the period when he had intense contacts with this famous school himself.
The Marie-Luise Betlheim collection contains more than seventy works of art, created mainly in the period between 1921. and 1924. years. Among them are the works of famous Bauhaus professors and students: Paul Klee, Karl Peter R Aluchl, Franz Frahm-Hessler, Kurt Sch Amuclerdtfeger, Lou Scheper, Hinnerk Scheper, Farkas moln Aluchr, Henrik Stef Aluchl, Sandor Bortn Aluclik and others. At the same time, the collection also contains valuable documentary material from the Bauhaus period of art, such as photographs, leaflets, various letters and publications, as well as Marie-Luise's personal correspondence with friends in art.
The International Project BauNet was created in cooperation with four partners: the Museum of suvremena umjetnost Zagreb (as the project holder), Universalmuseum Joanneum from Graz, the Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo and the Loka Museum Skopja Loka. The aim of the project was to thoroughly explore and present the activities and interrelationships between South – Eastern European artists trained at the renowned International School of Architecture, Design and visual art-Bauhaus and their influence on artistic practices in the fifties 20 years. centuries in South-Eastern Europe and the legacy of avant-garde movements. The project is implemented with the support of the European Union's culture 2007-2013 programme.

Med njimi so dela znamenitih profesorjev in študentov Bauhausa: Paula Kleeja, Karla Petra Röhla, Franza Frahm-Hesslerja, Kurta Schwerdtfegerja, Lou Scheper, Hinnerka Scheperja, Farkasa Molnárja, Henrika Stefána, Sandora Bortnyika in drugih.
