22. THE CYCLING HOLIDAY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER
This time the " 22. Cycling marathon through the land of cvica". It will take place on Sunday, 23. in August 2026, with the start and finish in Krk at Matija Gubca Square. The start time will be early morning at 10. uri.
Slovenians maintain the status of the most "hot" cycling nation. Cycling Matadors collect victories in individual and the largest multi-day world races. The euphoria is not only reflected by the numerous Slovenian flags along the tracks of the world's cycling metropolises, but also by the increased presence at "recreational races", the construction of cycle paths, the increased electrified accessibility of cycling challenges to a simple person, cycling is becoming an increasingly obligatory family leisure activity, breaking alongside skiing as the number one all-Russian sport.
For two decades, RKD Krsko has enabled KRK cyclists of all abilities and knowledge to live out the feelings of participants and the spirit of major cycling events. All cycling recreations eager will be taken on three abilities adapted cycling routes. Cyclists will take part in the big and small cycling marathon (67 and 36 kilometers), along with the children's "Cricket marathon"for the youngest cyclists and families.
Applications are held on the very day of the event in the Information Service. Also this year, the organizer has prepared rich prizes for all participants who receive a Memorial Medal, an elderly T-shirt and a snack, and children-ice cream. They also reward the cyclist who passes the finish line of the large and small marathon route the fastest, the oldest cyclist and the cyclist, and the most numerous registered group. A lot of interest is attracted by the raffle, which, along with numerous prizes in the form of a cvick, presents a special shiny prize to the wheel.
Special thanks go to the municipality of Krsko, which for years has significantly supported the implementation of the marathon, making it accessible to a wider range of participants. In an effort to increase sustainable mobility, this type of cycling event is certainly an important motivating factor in disseminating the idea of moving and overcoming shorter distances.
President of the Association Luka Shebek said: "the association feels a special honor and obligation to perform this time for the 22nd time. replays of a popular cycling event. On this occasion, we remember everyone who was aware of the importance of implementation and started this kind of mass cycling gathering. Every year, 400 participants reward us with a visit to put in the effort and prepare a friendly cycling atmosphere. Today we are visited by cyclists from all over Posavje and Dolenjska, Gorenjska, Prekmurje, Bela Krajina also like to return to us, which gives us an extra push to work in advance...".
The event is attended by important figures from the political, economic and sports life of the municipality of Krsko. The association gives special thanks to the members of the Association, the municipality of Krsko, other numerous donors, Rangers, motorcyclists and health officials, for supporting the largest recreational event in Posavje.

22. KOLESARSKI PRAZNIK JE PRED VRATI
Rekreativno kolesarsko društvo Krško organizira tokrat že »22. Kolesarski maraton po deželi cvička«. Potekal bo v nedeljo, 23. avgusta 2026, s štartom in ciljem v Krškem na Trgu Matije Gubca. Štartna ura bo zgodnja dopoldanska ob 10. uri.
Slovenci ohranjamo status najbolj »vročega« kolesarskega naroda. Kolesarski matadorji pobirajo zmage na posameznih in največjih večdnevnih svetovnih dirkah. Evforija se ne kaže le ob številnih slovenskih zastavah ob progah po svetovnih kolesarskih metropolah ampak ob večji prisotnosti na »rekreativnih dirkah«, gradnji kolesarskih stez, povečani elektrificirani dostopnosti kolesarskih izzivov preprostemu človeku, kolesarjenje postaja vse bolj obvezna družinska aktivnost v prostem času, prebija ob bok smučanju kot vseslovenskemu športu številka ena.
RKD Krško že dve desetletji omogoča krškim kolesarjem vseh sposobnosti in znanj, da izživijo občutja udeležencev in duh večjih kolesarskih prireditev. Vsi kolesarske rekreacije željni bodo popeljani na tri sposobnostim prilagojene kolesarske trase. Kolesarji se bodo podali na veliki in mali kolesarski maraton (67 in 36 kilometrov), ob tem bodo za najmlajše kolesarje in družine izvedli še otroški »Čričkov maraton«.
Prijave potekajo na sam dan prireditve v informacijski službi. Organizator je tudi letos pripravil bogate nagrade za vse udeležence, ki prejmejo spominsko kolajno, starejši majico in malico, otroci pa sladoled. Nagrajujejo tudi kolesarja, ki najhitreje prevozita ciljno črto trase velikega in malega maratona, najstarejšega kolesarja in kolesarko ter najštevilčnejšo prijavljeno skupino. Veliko zanimanja pritegne srečelov, ki ob številnih nagradah v obliki cvička posebno bleščečo nagrado predstavlja kolo.
Posebna zahvala gre Mestni občini Krško, ki že leta pomembno podpira izvedbo maratona, da je dostopna širšemu krogu udeležencev. V prizadevanjih za povečanje trajnostne mobilnosti je tovrstne kolesarska prireditev vsekakor pomemben motivacijski dejavnik pri razširjanju ideje gibanja in premagovanja krajših razdalj.
Predsednik društva Luka Šebek je ob izvedbi povedal: »Društvo čuti posebno čast in obvezo ob izvedbi tokrat že 22. ponovitve priljubljene kolesarske prireditve. Ob tej priložnosti se spominjamo vseh, ki so se zavedali pomembnosti izvedbe in pričeli s tovrstnim množičnim kolesarskim druženjem. 400 udeležencev nas z obiskom vsako leto nagradi, da vložimo trud in pripravimo prijateljsko kolesarsko vzdušje. Danes nas obiskujejo kolesarji iz celotnega Posavja in Dolenjske, k nam se radi vračajo tudi Gorenjci, Prekmurci, Belokranjci, kar nam daje dodatnega elana za delo v naprej…«.
Prireditve se udeležujejo pomembne osebnosti iz političnega, gospodarskega in športnega življenja občine Krško. V društvu podajajo posebno zahvalo članom društva, Mestni občini Krško, ostalim številnim donatorjem, redarjem, motoristom in zdravstvenim uslužbencem, za podporo največji rekreativni prireditvi v Posavju.
