Dear fans of sacred music!
This year we celebrate 50. anniversary of the death of the composer Stanko Premrla. Although Premrl is the author of the Slovenian anthem, he is not very well known to the general public. With a concert by the choir and orchestra Consortium musicum, soloists Theresa Plut and ROK Bavcar and under the direction of Gregor Klancic, we will mark this important anniversary.
The program will feature Premrl's most extensive work, the oratorio cantata St. Joseph. The text in seven paintings outlining the life of St. Nicholas. Joseph is the work of Aloysius Merhar. With his music, Premrl takes us through calm and idyllic pastorals, through dramatic highs and mourning music in the sixth picture, to a solemn and powerful end.
You will be able to listen to the concert on Wednesday, 18. in November 2015, at 19.30 in the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas. Nicholas in Ljubljana. Kindly invited, there is no entrance fee!
Spoštovani ljubitelji sakralne glasbe!
Letos obeležujemo 50. obletnico smrti skladatelja Stanka Premrla. Čeprav je Premrl avtor napeva slovenske himne, širši javnosti ni zelo dobro poznan. S koncertom zbora in orkestra Consortium musicum, solistov Therese Plut in Roka Bavčarja ter pod vodstvom Gregorja Klančiča, bomo obeležili to pomembno obletnico.
Na programu bo Premrlovo najobsežnejše delo, oratorijska kantata Sveti Jožef. Besedilo v sedmih slikah, ki orisujejo življenje sv. Jožefa, je delo Alojzija Merharja. Premrl nas s svojo glasbo pelje preko umirjenih in idiličnih pastoral, preko dramatičnih viškov in žalne glasbe v šesti sliki, do slovesnega in mogočnega konca.
Koncertu boste lahko prisluhnili v sredo, 18. novembra 2015, ob 19.30 v stolni cerkvi Sv. Nikolaja v Ljubljani. Vljudno vabljeni, vstopnine ni!
