The International Folklore festival from Celje to ZALEC is a comprehensive project on cultural heritage that traditionally takes place around the 2nd century. Sundays in September. We want to show the world as a place of coexistence of different nations and their cultures. The purpose is to influence the acceptance of difference and to foster a positive attitude towards diversity in ourselves. Within the framework of the project, we use the folklore traditions of the participating countries and through it, in the form of an International Folklore Festival, we show the diversity between us. The emphasis is on the education and cultural growth of young people (in 2024, for example, more than 1600 pupils watched the performance), on folklore tradition and acceptance among young people. So far, we have hosted dancers from most European countries, as well as from 9 countries outside Europe, in total as many as 59 foreign groups, which means over 1600 dancers from abroad. The organizers have already managed to present four continents: Europe (in addition to the EU countries also Belarus, BIH, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania and Russia), Asia (India, Turkey, Israel, Iran and Sri Lanka), America (Mexico) and Africa (Algeria). We follow the criterion of the indigenous folk tradition of dance and live musical accompaniment. The special feature of this year's festival is that we will present 20 already. country of the European Union-Latvia. The organisers hope that in the future we will be able to attract groups from the remaining 7 EU countries (Belgium, Lu Animatemurg, France, Denmark, Ireland, Malta and Sweden)
This year we plan to host 4 foreign groups (Germany, Serbia, Croatia and Latvia). We will perform 10 events: 4 free concerts for pupils of primary and secondary schools (Celje, Zalec, Vransko and Tabor), 2 gala concerts (Zalec and Celje), a concert of the choir (Mopz Gotovlje in Zalec), a promenade and a concert on the main stage at national costume days in Kamnik and a presentation performance in Domzale.
The festival from Celje to ZALEC is a partner of two folklore festivals: 16. International Folklore evening "in Groblje as once" in Domzale and 52. days of national costumes in Kamnik, which provides performances by folklore groups from abroad.
Mednarodni folklorni festival OD CELJA DO ŽALCA je celovit projekt o kulturni dediščini, ki tradicionalno poteka v času okoli 2. nedelje v Septembru. Prikazati želimo svet kot prostor sobivanja različnih narodov in njihovih kultur. Namen je vplivati na sprejemanje drugačnosti in vzgoji pozitivnega odnosa do različnosti v nas samih. V okviru projekta uporabljamo folklorno izročilo držav udeleženk in skozenj v obliki Mednarodnega folklornega festivala prikazujemo različnost med nami. Poudarek je na izobraževanju in kulturni rasti mladih (v letu 2024 si je na primer predstavo ogledalo več kot 1600 učencev in dijakov), na folklornem izročilu in sprejemanju le tega med mladimi. Do sedaj smo gostili plesalce večine evropskih držav, pa tudi iz 9 držav izven Evrope, skupaj kar 59 tujih skupin, kar pomeni preko 1600 plesalcev iz tujine. Organizatorji smo uspeli predstaviti že štiri celine: Evropo (poleg držav EU tudi Belorusijo, BIH, Makedonijo, Srbijo, Kosovo, Albanijo in Rusijo), Azijo (Indijo, Turčijo, Izrael, Iran in Šri Lanko), Ameriko (Mehiko) in Afriko (Alžirijo). Zasledujemo kriterij avtohtone ljudske tradicije plesa in žive glasbene spremljave. Posebnost letošnjega festivala je, da bomo predstavili že 20. državo Evropske unije – Latvijo. Organizatorji upamo, da bomo v prihodnje uspeli privabiti skupine iz še preostalih 7 držav EU (Belgije, Luxemurga, Francije Danske, Irske, Malte in Švedske)
Letos načrtujemo gostovanje 4 tujih skupin (Nemčija, Srbija, Hrvaška in Latvija). Izvedli bomo 10 dogodkov: 4 brezplačni koncerti za učence OŠ in SŠ (Celje, Žalec, Vransko in Tabor), 2 gala koncerta (Žalec in Celje), koncert pevskega zbora (MoPZ Gotovlje v Žalcu), promenada in koncert na glavnem odru na Dnevih narodnih noš v Kamniku ter predstavitveni nastop v Domžalah.
Festival OD CELJA DO ŽALCA je partner dveh folklornih festivalov: 16. Mednarodnega folklornega večera »V Grobljah kot nekoč« v Domžalah in 52. dnevov narodnih noš v Kamniku, katerima zagotavlja nastope folklornih skupin iz tujine.
