Software development is no longer just terrestrial. Engineers write code that literally circulates around the Earth. From controlling satellites to preventing collisions in orbit and smart space traffic management. And yes, Slovenia also has its share in this (pan)galactic story.
We are hosting Luka Zlatecana, co-founder of space Guardian, which develops technology for automated satellite collision avoidance.
Luka is a computer science and mathematics engineer and co-founder of Indigo Labs and Space Guardian. He started his career as an embedded Linu-lighting engineer and gained experience in several startups, including bFertile and bSafe .
Today, at Indigo Labs, he leads the development of advanced software solutions: from cloud architectures and microservices to artificial intelligence and data platforms; and at Space Guardian, he makes sure that with algorithms and orbital data, the space traffic accident remains only a theory.
The company Space Guardian was born from a winning idea at the Maribor and then the European CASSINI hackathon, where they convinced the jury with their solution to prevent space collisions.
At the online lessons, Luka will share with us the story of how the idea creates a “space” product — from technical challenges and business decisions to pioneering steps in the industry that will shape the future of life up here.

As always, the event is free and open to anyone interested in developing the technology of the future.
As always, we start five in seven (in the evening, of course, make no mistake).
